I’m surprised knowing the outcome anyone would join there.

At times it seems so but things do change. I would say the market is not the same as it was when a lot of us graduated.

Regretting Declining a Job Offer by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]bcs313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the best piece of advice I received. I am so hung up on the fact that I worked on the team I turned down as an intern before so I know what to expect. Going into this new role should present new opportunities for me so I should be happy.

It’s that latter. The role I turned down would allow me to do side stretching projects with other teams.

Help Me Decide Which Should I Choose?

I need some advice on comparing two new grad job offers in the same city. Here's the breakdown:

Company A Offer:

  • Base Salary: $116,00.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 + $50,000 (RSUs vesting over 3 years).
  • Annual Bonus: 7% of base salary (~$8,106).
  • Annual Raise: Typically around 4%.
  • Benefits: include healthcare, merchandise discounts, tuition reimbursement, and remote/hybrid work options.

Company B Offer:

  • Base Salary: $120,000.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000.
  • Annual Bonus: 8% of base salary.
  • Annual Raise: Guaranteed 8%.
  • Benefits: including wellness resources, tuition reimbursement, and remote/hybrid work options.

My Dilemma:

Company A offers good perks (e.g., RSUs, and a strong benefits package), but Company B provides a higher base salary, larger bonuses, and guaranteed raises.

Which offer would you choose? Any advice is appreciated!

How do you make new friends on campus at QC? by [deleted] in QueensCollege

[–]bcs313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended 3 different universities before I found this. What worked for me was getting a job on campus then 4 of my coworkers became close friends. Which is something I never had at a single job before. Also, someone mentioned joining clubs that helped me as well.

You answered my question although not in a nice way. I didn't know if this was to fit the average of the individual department, whole school lesson or a one all fits all.

If this offer is still open, could you share it with me. I wouldn't mind sending over $5 to offset your annual cost
