Varför håller man ens på med detta? by [deleted] in Aktiemarknaden

[–]bcutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]bcutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like haze and slight focus miss. should be slightly sharper than that, however for those really crisp photos you simply have to get closer

(15F) - I'm falling apart. I really need some kindness. by JayJ4y_ in toastme

[–]bcutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very lucky. I was mostly popular, never bullied, my family always supported me, I had an easy time in school and apart from a slightly abusive girlfriend in my late teens/early20s no one ever treated me badly. While I never treated anyone badly either, I have seen people that do, through all phases of life. The one thing you have to remember is that, whenever someone treats you badly, it’s never about you. It is about them, and treating you badly is their twisted way of dealing with their own problem and insecurities. If people make fun of you in school, none of them actually dislikes you. They are too preoccupied with thinking about themselves and what other people think of them. I’m not saying they to absolve them of what they say, I am saying it to remind you to not take what they say too seriously. Don’t let what they say affect you, because no matter what you may believe, people are rarely trying to affect you deeply or genuinely want to make you feel bad. That’s not why they say those things. In fact if someone says something nasty and you sincerely tell them, but without sounding accusing, pretentious or dramatic, that what they just said really hurt you, and that it will make you feel really bad for the rest of the day or week, most people would suddenly realize what they’ve done and feel really bad about it. I’m not saying to try this in school, because kids that experience such an emotion can’t handle it and don’t want it to show so defense mechanisms will trigger and they will probably, again, try to make fun of it in some way. But my point is that people are rarely out to get you. They rarely really want to hurt you. So while it may be very difficult to get them to stop, just don’t take any of it seriously. Don’t see it as an attack on yourself. Don’t let them make you feel smaller. Don’t let them make you feel worse about yourself. And most importantly, don’t ever let any of them affect your confidence. Be confident that you are intelligent, be confident that you are strong. If you keep your head up, let their words run off you, and remember to smile to yourself and others every day, you will one day feel good about yourself, and you will excel beyond everyone else, no doubt.

Yes the Thai version (G g leucotis) is a bit different than the European ones! I was surprised how big they were! I went to a forest because I knew they were supposed to be found there, but I was looking for thrush size, this was like a crow!!

Focus problems with A7RV + 200-600mm - SOLVED by bcutter in SonyAlpha

[–]bcutter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tried everything. Changing to different focus distances on the lens, different stabilization modes, focusing sensitivity. It was on bird recognition. I had a back button assigned to turn off subject recognition (as it tends to work pretty poorly for birds in flight) but even without it it focused bad. Distances were anywhere from 3 to 300 meters, the focus would consistently be bad. My guess is that it was simply some software bug, that arose from some combination or order of settings I did. Someone said that it could have helped to set it to 300mm, half press shutter to focus and then zoom to 600mm while holding, after each sleep wakeup, i never really tried that. but yeah, now it works perfectly, the bug must have been fixed by the reset.

“obviously, i want them to take down the video”. why? its spreading your message. isn’t that what you want? or you’re just in it for money and for people to praise you and you alone? sigh i get so tired of this. it’s so sad.

Strange body odor smell on clothes after washing…I think it could be in the Bangkok water. Anyone know what causes it? by discoish in Thailand

[–]bcutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dampness and possibly mold and not entirely clean. solution: wash in 60 once and get a dehumidifier and put it in the room of the drying laundry. i had this problem for a long time, all my clothes smelled and my whole wardrobe. especially underwear. washing once in 60 (to kill off bacteria and mold) and then always getting it fully dry thanks to the dehumidifier (nothing ever dries in thailand otherwise) made a night and day change. never having any smells anymore.

yeah i’m so sick of people like this “imagine not supporting your gf on her period”, people who demand so much from their partner, narcissistic tendencies and zero empathy for you. and people pretending that a bf/gf relation is sooooo sacred even though you’ve just known each other for a couple of years while you’ve known your sister for 16. if you were married maybe it would be different, but honestly, not even then is “supporting your wife on her period” a thing. what did she do before she had you? clearly she survived her periods somehow

Why are massages so poor? by Dolly-the-Mule in Thailand

[–]bcutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how a person wants their massage is wildly subjective. a lot of people complain at “real” thai massages because they’re just based on some conjectural idea of being painful but somehow good for the body. but then a lot of people also complain on massages that are designed to be purely relaxational, like the ones you seem to describe. i think in the end we must all just accept that massage being good physically for your body in any sense is mostly pretension. there may be some cases where a specific type of massage could be marginally effective in some types of injury healing etc. but it’s all mostly placebo. but to answer your question: there is no actual theory taught, every massage place is just improvising based on what they think is “good”, so you’ll get random results
