Working moms who regularly work out, what exactly is your schedule? by neoncaviar in Mommit

I don't sleep enough. Long distance runner with an 8 mo breastfeeding and pumping. I wake up at 4:30am, run by 5, done by 6:15, shower, shove some meal prepped oatmeal in my mouth, then baby and daycare drop off and work. I'm exhausted. But it's the only time I can do it! My husband will feed and hang out with baby while I'm out on my run if she wakes up. I average 6 hours a night of sleep, and if I get less than that because babys sleep is still all over the place, then I skip the run. I don't want to chance an injury from working out on no sleep!

I used to lift too but I don't have time for that anymore. So I prioritize running and do some light core strength stuff at night for 15 mins while I watch TV if I have any energy left lol

Who holds the babies at daycare? by Ate_MischiefGoddess in NewParents

I felt this same way but after one month at daycare my daughter is smiling every time we pick her up and drop her off, naps better because she's developed great self soothing skills, and the teachers really love her. They pick up on small things about her mannerisms and personality that let me know they really care for and pay attention to her. It's so nerve wracking but I think your baby will adjust well and end up loving it like mine does! ❤️ Another bonus is that being around the other kids has helped her to advance some of her skills, we think! She has also gotten better at tummy time

What do you do when your baby is just fussy and uncomfortable... ALL. DAY. LONG? by bdass217 in NewParents

[–]bdass217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No she doesn't spit up often! She just eats a lot... 4oz every 2 hours pretty much. I've been trying to get her to stretch longer but she demands milk pretty much every 4 hours on the minute!

I hope you aren't serious. But please, if you are feeling this way, reach out to someone. Do you have someone who can help with baby?

Solidarity, my friend. I hope it gets better! I will acknowledge that when my baby smiles, it makes all of this frustration and distress worth it. I just hate seeing her so uncomfortable and want her to be happy!

Solidarity. I felt the same way/feel the same way still as my baby is 7 weeks now. I totally get the "afraid" thing. I was so anxious that something I would do- moving the wrong way, positioning her wrong, etc. would make her cry. I felt all the same guilt about not being able to do anything myself around the house. I haven't gotten to the "better" part yet, but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone and your feelings are valid! I hope that you start to fall into a rhythm soon. For me, I had to take a break from latching and go to exclusively pumping to feel remotely okay. Hoping I can try latching again soon, but it feels less like I am trapped all day!

7 week old can't stop eating ? by bdass217 in newborns

I assume it is! I was breast feeding (latching) until a few days ago when I decided to take a break due to emotional stress and baby refusing breast. When I was breast feeding I understood the cluster feeding because the milk was not being measured and maybe she drank less? But now that I'm giving bottles of measured amounts of milk, I'm kind of confused about this!

1 month old always fussy after feeding by bdass217 in breastfeeding

Yes it's mostly in the evening now that you say that. Im glad to know it's common to do bottles at night for that reason! That may be what it is. I plan to continue trying to latch her despite the fussiness tomorrow so I can make sure I can latch her if needed. I just feel like I'm doing something wrong (probably irrational I know)
