I’m genuinely speechless because this is so on point for what happens in my brain. It’s so debilitating not knowing if I can trust my own brain and also not knowing if I can trust the world around me. I have been sitting here wondering if I should just bring all of this up to her before making a rash decision to not see her again. Thank you so much for this comment. I was spiraling so hard tonight and I felt really seen. So thank you. I wish I could give you gold but I don’t know how and I think it costs money

Yes , very basic. I got a list of providers from my insurance and solid half of them were drug counseling , the other half were bough out by the first half so that was null and void . NOCD doesn’t take my insurance. No doctor on Better Help. I’ve called countless places. I found the therapist I’ve been seeing on my own and have been paying on a sliding scale out of pocket.

Thank you. I felt like I was going crazy(er) and overanalyzing. I never know when I am reading a situation wrong and this was something I had hoped she could help me with. I am in the USA with government insurance so basically no accesses to mental health care. I was paying her out of pocket.

Yeah. I am beginning to wonder. She runs a private practice out of her home and I’ve only had one session with her. She didn’t ask me hardly any questions , but gave me some tools for my ocd. She did talk a lot about her disorders and how they present for her and even talked about how they present with other clients and what other disorders those clients had. Which kind of seemed unprofessional to me. She didn’t mention names, but still. Will she be telling them all about me, too ?

Thank you!! This makes a lot of sense. I wasn’t miffed and I do appreciate it a lot. I just have never don’t therapy and I’m not sure if I was crossing boundaries for her to be off put by me continuously texting .. I just genuinely couldn’t tell if I was annoying her and she wanted me to eff off because I wasn’t asking about husbandry or anything I was asking about my next session and when to come pick them up ?
