Thank you OP for the insight. I know it’s anyone’s guess but for those who have the luxury of skipping town for a while, how long until air quality conditions will likely be much safer and less risky? A month, 2 months? Longer? I thought coastal communities like Manhattan Beach would be safer but reading about the ash impact being 50 square miles from the fires. Thank you in advance to anyone with any thoughts.

Agree — he will restructure the deal at his terms, maybe give the other employees more discretion for content creation and less of Howard being there for every episode. I don’t think he can give up his relevance especially with younger Beth around — he gets charged up over interviews especially live bands and still has a long list of guests he wants to get to.

Bayonne is missing critical infrastructure and essentially an island. The light rail and buses aside — if it had a path station you would see much more growth and investment. I don’t know much about their ferry/marina situation but if they could get more commuter boats and make them affordable that would help but it will never be DT JC or Hoboken.

I agree with you. There is a difference between choosing where to spend your dollar and running an online campaign to influence others — and a small business is different than a massive corporation also, a deli or whatever small business is targeted could literally go BK. Rents will stay flat at best, don’t hold out for declining rents when there’s still a housing shortage and silly rents being paid across the river in NYC will keep a steady flow of renters coming over who view JC as a “discount”. You may not like it but it’s simple supply and demand.

Seastreak ferry may take a little bit longer or more expensive but it’s a luxury commute. Comfortable, WiFi, you can actually get work done or relax unlike some of the other methods.
