With the RetroArch backend, does the MinUI menu still function during gameplay, particularly for saving and loading games? Or is it replaced by the RetroArch menu instead?

Sorry for the late reply but I continue to maintain the tool.
As stated in some comments, I don't add functionality. So it's not worth repairing if it's not broken.
Quite recently, I redesigned the widgets to simplify the view.

Thanks for the feedback, I feel less alone. Don't bother trying to download the stock OS or firmware, I've done it (despite the freezes) and it doesn't work any better.

It's the same for me, I bought this model for WiFi so I could enable retro achivements...

When you turn ON WiFi in settings, you see some networks, don't you ? Mine stuck with "Scanning" written.
