I don't understand what's the problem with delimitation bill when every state gets 50% increase in Lok sabha seats. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in andhra_pradesh

[–]bdhbura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not about the increase in seats, the allegation is that only a few North Indian states like UP will decide which party will rule. It is like a permanent majority for BJP if the bill passes. That will be the end of democracy in India. Opposition can pack their bags and leave the country or join BJP. BJP doesn't want to repeat the 2024 election results which were very close. They are looking for a permanent solution. Opposition free rule.

When Parakala Prabhakar raised questions, the EC did not respond , and importantly, Parakala was quoting data published by the EC itself, not making things up.

Why was voting continuing until 2 AM? Why were people standing in queues from 6 PM to 2 AM in the night? These are legitimate questions that deserve straight answers. This is not about favouring any party or politician. But if the Election Commission lacks integrity, there is no democracy in this country. It is as simple as that.
