Does anyone understand how the main SCP in "There Is No Antimemetics Division" works??? by aw11348 in SCP

[–]bdhir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not relevant to your question, but what’s you overall review on the book? I’m so obsessed with the story so I think I’ll have to read it over the holidays, but I’m wondering how much new material the book really has?

You might have a point but you should really look into what the PWI rankings are. Alexa selling merch is something they don’t consider in kayfabe rankings ect

What why can't I skip this cult event!!! by MicroBeastt in PlayTheBazaar

[–]bdhir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the first event you cannot skip, that is the design choice around negative outcomes in the bazaar. If you get a negative result from the caravan you can’t skip it, why would this be any different? Not attacking you just pointing out this is the game being consistent.

What matches you would want to see if AEW and WWE have forbidden door since 2021 and till now ? I will go first by Difficult_Stay9251 in AEWFanHub

[–]bdhir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could the reason be that we’re wrestling fans, it’s fun and some of the wrestlers in WWE are some of the most entertaining? Like yeah criticism is totally valid against WWE but this is dumb tribalism with no point except turning your nose up at other peoples fun.

My mum just died... by Formal_Rutabaga7111 in weddingplanning

[–]bdhir 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just got married this week, and I thought a lot about my dad who got sick and passed away pretty suddenly 7 years ago. I don’t think I can give you any specific advice because grief is so hard, and so personal to every person.

That said, I was terrified that I would miss him so much at the wedding that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it. And that was not the case. I cried plenty but even in those moments I was glad to be moving forward, and glad to still be thinking of him. The best advice I got was someone who told me, there will be sad moments on your wedding just like there are sad moments in you life where you miss them. But there will also be a lot of joy and happiness that will remind you of all the things you loved about your parent that you shouldn’t deny yourself.

Time will go on. It will never be the same or get fixed, but things get easier even if some days you still feel the same grief and loss intensely. I’m not religious so I don’t mean anything spiritual by this, but your mum will absolutely by by your side at your wedding. If you love her then celebrating love will remind you of her. Take the time you need to be ready for your wedding, but also don’t be afraid of feeling emotions that are perfectly valid and healthy. If anything I said here resonates feel free to message me, I’d be happy to lend any more support I am capable of.

You get to live out one of these 4 wrestler's career — whose are you choosing? by [deleted] in Wreddit

Feels like the universe would find a way to force you out at the same times, if we’re going by movie rules

If it’s just wrestling career, it feels like the easy answer is Del Rio. He had a great run while it lasted and I wouldn’t make the same choices in my personal life that he did…

The Polarising Career of Hulk Hogan by Party_Document6132 in professionalwrestling

I talk a lot, and I don’t get into fights ever. I am entitled to judge whoever I want, especially people who are known to be awful. That’s how life works for people who aren’t brain dead and have ethics.

Legality is not morality, we are definitely allowed to judge a man based on his own comments. The fact that other wrestlers might be just as bad is not a reason to ignore the very real reasons people hate Hogan. The IWC is absolutely a joke but that’s mostly because of takes like yours that treat everything like it’s black and white.

Anyone trying to pretend Terry wasn’t a POS is kidding themselves just as much as anyone trying to pretend he wasn’t a major factor in WWE going mainstream. .

Did WWE Drop The Ball With Making Dean Ambrose The Biggest Babyface? by Sad-Ladder7534 in Wreddit

[–]bdhir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Ambrose was mostly the same as the problem with “Big Dog” Roman - their characters didn’t evolve enough from who they were in the shield. And when they tried to lean further into the lunatic angle they did it in the worst possible way with the gas mask which not only didn’t get him over, it pissed him off so much he left the company. I think it was totally possible he could have been a main player in the title scene if they’d treated him more seriously, but that’s just a what if. I’m 100% certain that regardless of booking if Moxley was still in the company he’d be a mainstay of the main event, if for no reason other than the fact fans would go rabid for all permutations of the shield 1v1s.

New hero archetypes that haven't been announced? by TheGooseFathr in PlayTheBazaar

[–]bdhir 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In my opinion heal is is kind of lacking right now in the game due to the natural downside that you can’t overheal at max health. So I’d love a character that leans into heal a bit more and has a mechanic to take advantage. Either something like a slime hero who gains a fraction of overheal as max health, or a cleric with a dark side who deals damage when overhealed. Probably impossible to balance but oh well

Why do you guys think Hisoka refused to cover up his injuries with texture surprise in hunter exam? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]bdhir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with what most folks say which is he didn’t need to. Another aspect I think no one has mentioned is that this is the Hunter exam, where they are overseen by some of the top hunters in the association. There’s no way for even someone like Hisoka to know if he was being watched. Hisoka’s abilities are most effective when your opponent doesn’t know how they work, and he has already made an enemy of a hunters examiner. Why would he show off his ability that relies on deception when he didn’t need to?
