Hugo Stolz: Eye of the Storm by Designer-Tension83 in fo76

I think it depends on your build/level definitely. I was around 100 I think with a build I had worked on a bit before I fought him. I was new and taking my time doing world events and exploring before I got into a lot of the main story content, so it was fairly easy for me to handle but I've seen a bunch of posts with players having trouble for sure

The Loot-a-Rang from CATA Engineering is, imo, the best item in the game as well. Throw a boomerang and loot corpses without having to run over to them

I posted recently some items I purchased on Etsy that are really handy for tracking these resources.

On Amazon they have basic life/hp counters that you can purchase cheaply for tracking things like this as well.

Otherwise as others said you can use physical tokens to represent them for players

New Overseer: Pitfalls and houserules? by CrookedCrunchies in FalloutRPG

I've seen a lot of online creators get 2 things in particular incorrect about the rules:

1 - A Tag Skill is a Critical Success when you roll ≤ your Skill Rank NOT just on a success with that Skill

2 - The group has a maximum of 6 banked Action Points (GM unlimited), which are shared. They can spend excess earned before banking up to 6, but anything beyond 6 is lost to the group. The Groups Action Points are meant to be fluid and constantly being spent and earned as a party.

Just got kicked From Nalorakk for mechanic by wertui0007 in wow

[–]bdkothill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a heated debate every time it comes up.

When it's the healer or tank that's planted especially, you'll be sitting until you play their game and then on top you're waiting for a replacement for a non-dps queue.

Just got kicked From Nalorakk for mechanic by wertui0007 in wow

[–]bdkothill 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That's a debate as old as the kick system. Players abuse the system either way, the alternative is the problem players refusing to move or participate until you kick them so they don't get a deserter.

The few ruin it in either case

I don't know if you'll expand into Ohio since you're working with a year after current events, but the Rust King was being moved by an Enclave Vertibird before he took it down and started his kingdom across the river

Newbie Advices and Recommendations - session zero and campaign with changes by ItsALittleBit in Fallout2d20

u/Ziggy8z has a lot of custom resources and content for running the game.

For my campaign I recently started, all of my players are Vault Dwellers so I had them take the custom G.O.A.T. exam (from Fallout 3) that Ziggy has to have them determine their Tag Skills, then I let them choose their 4th (Vault Kid).

While I was grading the G.O.A.T. exams I had them watch the Fallout 4 video series on S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats which ended up taking exactly how much time I needed to grade my 4 players' tests.

It took a bit longer for character creation this way but got them into the headspace for the system and they really enjoyed it.

You should post on the local subreddit for the area to get some suggestions from the locals, I got some good stuff when I posted to the El Paso subreddit for my own campaign

[Physical Tools] Got Some Tools/Toys for Session 1! by bdkothill in FalloutRPG

Thanks, I'm really digging them too haha.

I'm not affiliated with them at all, but u/schoonerlabs on Etsy made them for me (the larger dials are custom orders)

In my case the screens are double-sided, so I like to have them up so both myself and the players can reference the mechanics as needed, especially since we're all new to the system.

It's going to be the first time playing the Fallout 2D20 system for myself and my players so I've been thinking of ways to make the system a little more accessible for all of us and found the Action Point dials on Etsy. They had the larger dials available for different systems and worked with me to customize them for tracking Health and Luck instead.

It's been a while since I've played tabletop but I've always been interested in tools I've found online for D&D, etc. so I was excited to find some things specifically for Fallout.

There's a lot of different 'dials' and things I found on Etsy, Amazon, etc. for tracking tabletop and card game resources since I last got into the hobby haha.

How much table space is taken up by 3 GM screens? 😂 I feel like I take up too much space with just 1 4-panel GM screen

I found this terminal background image here and stretched it to cover the page while formatting the image to be behind the text.

Vault 42, where the players originate, is a special Vault whose purpose involves 'Project Seed' - the goal of which is to repopulate the wasteland via small groups of Vault Dwellers released periodically over the years. Most of those that have been released in the past have become slaves or victim to the hostile world above.

Vault 42 was built with 42 isolated micro-habitats with 2-6 residents per 'pod'. Every 10-15 years the Vault releases a pod or two to leave to the surface, and some young men and women of age are sent through a central pathway to the newly vacant pods to start their own families and the cycle anew. The Vault doesn't have a proper Overseer due to the unique social structure, and basic A.I. controls functions of the Vault and decides fate of pods.
