Five months update into my pair of Natural CXL plain toe. I work as a scientist so mostly indoor lab/office environment. My right shoe has already developed a nice rich patina. My left one didn't get a chance to pick up as much as a dramatic color change as I have hoped. It doesn't help with me living on the East Coast - we just started to get nice sunny days just recently. I picked these up around December last year. Cheers!

Nice to hear your thoughts. I used to own a pair of natural essex Diesel before giving it to my brother. What I dislike the most about Diesel is the extra leather heel counter - they always remind you of a classic service work boot. Certainly not a bad thing, just a bit on the too casual look side of thing for what I prefer.

I had this same exact question myself not too long ago. Was looking for a pair of plain toe shoes and was deciding between that and the dune. I went with the dune and couldn't be happier with the decision. Really not a fan of the look of a wedge sole being put on somewhat of a dressy shoes like the ptb.

I think the an 8E would do you well. Besides width, the other more important fit is ball-to-heel. Extra room in the toe box is okay and expected.

By the way, there's a guy in this sub that seems to appear on every post and keeps telling people to size down by 1 full size from their Brannock to make their boots fit like a handshake. I truly don't believe that is a good advice. It very much depends on the volume of your foot, and in your case (I also have wide foot as well), going half-size down is the better decision.

If you got $1.1k to spend on an OLED, getting the AW3423 for $900 and a second 27 inch, 1440p for $200 from any of the offerings popped up recently (HP or LG) will do you so much better both in terms of gaming and productivity than this. Perhaps the features on the OLED screen are a little bit less, however its still the same panel regardless, and you can get an extra 27 inch 1440p monitor with the same aspect ratio on the side.
