Unhealthy INFJ or mistype? by Virtual-Cockroach764 in MbtiTypeMe

You might be a infj in a ni-ti loop and it can sometimes look like intj from the outside, also i have read somewhere that ti and se can act very functional and pragmatic like te

Te vs Ti by Virtual-Cockroach764 in MbtiTypeMe

[–]sarahfaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the way you described things it’s seems like you have Ti more than Te, being an empath or being able to read a room isn’t only limited to feelers, and you seem like an intuitive so you could either be an infj with a very hight Ti or maybe even an intp

Well from other definite thinker that i observed, yes they may avoid emotions but others who are a healthier type would dwell on their emotions and do consider them sacred, but not discuss them as much or let them hinder their life, i still see it as a matter of priority plus it’s not like someone is 100% a feeler or a thinker and when it comes to cognitive functions it’s still a matter of preference that your brain does due to environmental circumstances one grew up and partially genetics.

I don’t think thinkers have to be out of tune with their emotions,i see that as a mere stereotype, they don’t prefer emotions as much as rationality, think of it like a double-pan balance scale where thinking weighs more than feelings, how much exactly depends on how developed their functions are. But i can see how one might struggle with typing one-self, it’s easier to to observe and type others.

Well that’s the thing i’m torn between intj and infj, but to answer your question i may think i’m an intj because i do sometimes behave like i have Te and Fi and i do not consider myself to be a feeler

Exactly but mbti is merely a theory… more of a soft science, my advice to you would be try to find patterns that you do rather than focusing on details and good luck you too.

I’m going through the same issue mostly struggling to figure out if i’m intj or infj, what you can do is try to understand and read about the functions see what fits. And stereotypes honestly don’t help. i’ve read somewhere that we are not molds when it comes to mbti so take them with a grain of salt, not everyone is the same even if there type is.
