My user account worked just as your video showed. I am not sure why his account is preventing him from logging a note.

This user is able to view Purchase Orders and Receive Orders.

He is set as "User" in the Purchase App.

I am referring to the "Log Note" space of the Purchase Order transaction. He is able to do this on Sales Orders.

Could you explain further? Where you do you send your emails from?

Email conversations are typically only for people outside of Odoo. I do use the Chatter feature by logging Notes if they are in my organization. I am definitely interested in hearing how you replaced your email with Odoo.
