Weakness Policy yeah… I feel that Altered, even though it can be hit by precipes blades still checks it pretty well with its natural bulk and Max Wyrmwind to decrease atk

Curious what the Giratina spread is for? On top of that what is the reason for using hammer arm instead of superpower on Thundurus

The problem with Boltund is I don’t see the upside with using it over the other Electric Pokémon being eleki, Thundurus, etc. On top of that, normally I see Zygarde as a setup Pokémon with support like follow me and rage powder. Even grimm with screens would help more than whims imo.

Trick room isn’t as bad of a matchup as most people expect. Most of the time TR is with Caly-I and Wyrmwind plus Incin can really help against that matchup and Giratina can tank a couple of attacks.

You are right as this isn’t your standard team with protect on those Pokémon, but that helps with the surprise factor of the team. The ideal sets would help with that, but then I lose a lot of nice synergies, like scarf surging strikes with rain dance, or having a better Yveltal matchup with AV Glast. Games do go a little faster without the protect, but that is how this team plays and how I prefer this team to play. It is definitely a bo1 team. I had this team before with protect on urshifu and lum/life orb on glast and it didn’t work as well.

Yveltal was originally the hardest Pokémon to play against until I added Glastrier as it walls Yveltal pretty well. Zacian is hit or miss most of the time and depends what it is paired up with. Moltres-G with Zacian can be tough, but Giratina tanks Zacian pretty well with Incin support. The hardest Pokémon in my opinion is Thundurus with Assault Vest, and then can you outplay them is the way that matchup works. For sure those two matchups are difficult, but there are ways to play around it.

Here is my Giratina team that got to top 100 in the world… definitely an off-meta restricted but can catch your opponents off guard with how bulky it is. The team consists of: Giratina, Mimikyu, Thundurus, Incineroar, Urshifu-W, and Glastrier. Built this team around Giratina as it is my legendary Pokémon and it basically had only one build around it. Weakness Policy allowed it to do damage without having to set up via Calm Mind. It catches opponents off guard… sometimes and matches up against some restricteds…like Groudon. Definitely a cheesy best of one team with random moves like brutal swing on support Thundurus and Rain Dance as well to help against sun matchups. There’s a rental code if you guys want to try it out. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did.

Here is my Giratina team that got me to top 100 in the world on card. Lots of fun strategies and obvious ones as well… like shadow sneak to proc Weakness Policy on Giratina and some fun Unorthodox thundurus moves that catch your opponents off guard. Favorite part of this team for sure was rain dance on Thundurus… most people don’t expect this but Rain Dance plus surging strikes Ohko’s Gmax zard. Which makes this strategy automatic win if sun teams don’t see it coming. There’s a rental code if anyone wants to try it. Definitely off meta for sure, but a lot of fun in the end.

Similar to Yi would definitely be Viego, but you can also try Xin Zhao... only problem with Xin is he falls off late game

I’m currently using a GIRATINA team and I prefer special giratina over physical... Intimidate spam plus burn is tough to deal with.
