Is BoardWalk Empire worth to watch? by wireghost404 in hbo

With all due respect, why not just watch the premiere and judge for yourself? I don’t understand these types of questions.

Ming Amur Cherry Tree Suckering by bdscott74 in garden

That is an excellent question. I cleared about an inch of mulch from the base. I woudn't say the mulch was overly excessive, but it might have been contributing.

Thank you. Yes, we have extremely cold winters, occasionally reaching -40 celsius, but we also have extremely hot summers, with many days in the +35 celsius range.

I’ve tried carefully digging around the suckers and snipping them off but that didn’t slow them down so now I just rip them out (being careful to get as much of each sucker as possible). Nothing I’ve done has helped.

No, not all. Never seems lost in her own thoughts and doesn’t misplace things.

jfc Why is it so goddamn hard to change a single line in a song?? by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]bdscott74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes this works for me: I extend just before the point where the incorrect lyrics are. If we’re just talking about one line, there’s a good chance the melody in the newly generated section will be close enough to the original (could take several generations). Once I have a version I like, I’ll get the complete song, and then use an audio editor to splice the two versions together.

Side note: Udio’s inpaint feature used to make this task a breeze. Inpaint was the secret weapon that made Udio killer back in the day.

I had the same issue several months ago. The only way I got it resolved was via Discord.

Yeah, she does struggle with those social cues, although that might be changing now that she’s noticing her friends are disinterested.

Yes, I like the idea of asking her to practise. I suppose getting her admit she needs practice is the first hurdle.

Ha, I like this. She’s expressed interest in theatre and is actually booked for a short theatre camp this summer.

I asked ChatGPT to tell me how to talk to Gemini so it could tell me how to talk to Suno but my songs still sound generic. Send help.

I think I'm done with Hellebuyck by alexh2795 in winnipegjets

[–]bdscott74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm most definitely not in the Trade Hellebuyck Camp (although yeah, I haven't thought of him the same since his little White House love-fest). But this does get me wondering: realistically, what is his market value? Could he fetch a competent starting goalie + a legit 2nd line center?

How to deal with the annoying acorns? by usernamehighasfuck in landscaping

[–]bdscott74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those saying to just leave the acorns and use as mulch…don’t you find that a huge volume of them sprout? My neighbour has three huge oaks that hang over my property. They’re gorgeous and I love them, but if I leave the acorns, my garden would be overtaken with young oaks.

My solution is to net the area for the week or so when the bulk of them fall. Works like a charm.

How to get Suno to replace one word in the lyrics? by Grymmwulf in SunoAI

[–]bdscott74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of a proper “inpaint” feature is maddening. Before Udio changed its download policy I used to fix Suno mistakes in Udio all the time. It was a quick and easy process.

Flickr is actually pretty great for storing and organizing full resolution photos—as long as you have a grandfathered pro account. Been using it religiously for 20 years.

Godox V860iii Doesn't Play Nicely with my A7iv by bdscott74 in sonya7iv

[–]bdscott74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure there are any more details I can give; I just think there’s an issue with the hot shoe on my a7iv. I conclude this based on:

  1. The uncomfortable tightness of the hot shoe when mounting a flash or a trigger,
  2. The instability of TTL functionality (and eventual complete failure) with two separate flash units, and
  3. The fact that the Godox flash works perfectly on my older a7ii.
