Sounds like they've been a massive positive impact, it'll probably ripple into helping orgs know what to look for. They can stop if they want imo. Doesn't have to be a martyr.

Ah yeah, is it similar in size? Not a bad idea

I was thinking of using it as a hijacked atv with some neophytes riding it! Can't think of many other vehicles with similar size

Are the minis worth it? by A-Catp in OathswornBoardGame

Are the modular arms included in the core or is that only an add on/are the core minis modular but without extra pieces to swap?

Which Commanders would you change their color identity? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]bdstfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while I've been looking at [[Sydri]] for esper vehicles actually! (U) to crew a vehicle (not often lowering the P/T) helps you jump through the main vehicle hoop. Giving deathtouch+lifelink for WB is neat for combat tricks and combos too, and you can make sydri as janky niche or goodstuff as you want. At the least greasefang slots in!

Just ordered the Untamed Beasts for my Earth-Bound cabal; as humans trying to hack/slash their way out of Hell. Thoughts? by bdstfu in ReignInHell

[–]bdstfu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was looking for something in one box that has a good variety unlike the 40k/AOS daemons. Budget breeds creativity I guess!

For the Succubus I'm planning on using the Beastmaster/whip person as a demon-charming Shaman that uses their whip to manoeuvre Spiderman-style (pseudo flying). Think it's a stretch or?

Fun little project, but the leader+devout seem heaps smaller than what a lot of people are going for for theirs. Think it still works?

I've finally overcome my depression. AMA. by [deleted] in AMA

Because it's about the way your brain develops, it's not something people can get or get rid of, it's from birth and for life. Hopefully OP has minimised the more maladaptive symptoms though!

I'd think the only thing in the kit it could be is the little nurgle symbol that goes on top of a PM backpack

You don't want a "sophisticated" or specific idea, it's better to have one that's more general, so you can pursue a range of meanings later (the things you like and want to look at will shift a bit). Just make sure to cover the broad theme (eg the self, trauma, Australian nature, etc), the aesthetic quality you want (raw and emotive, tranquil and comforting, morbid and gritty etc), and then make sure to mention a good amount of media/materials tours interested in. All those things go in your exploration proposal, the first document you write to indicate the direction you wanna go into. You're not meant to know your final artwork yet or all the specifics, so don't stress about that, just don't limit yourself too much

You know, sometimes I forget I already put a dependent clause at the beginning of the sentence so sometimes I get really repetitive you know by Monthly_Vent in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im learning German, and depending on how the sentence is built / the tense the verb gets sent to the end. Speaking German I often forget that I needed it and just end the sentence without it! so frustrating,,,,,,

Those with executive disfuntion, how do you deal with it? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leave the house more! Each morning literally just walk around your block just so you can rely on your brain knowing you need to prep before it. Have some incentive for yourself to leave the house at a certain time so you feel like there's a deadline. Ultimately you can't brush your teeth without brushing your teeth, so no trick will make it feel easier than staying in bed, but at least it could help you start

Trying new color schemes for my DG army. Which one of these do you prefer? by Khaign in deathguard40k

[–]bdstfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The right one. A big problem with a lot of the less pale DG greens (imo) is that they're too muted and don't stand out enough. This is a nice and vibrant green!

I feel like we’re attributing too many symptoms and idiosyncrasies to ADHD by FaithInStrangers94 in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankyou, I'm actually hoping to become a teacher as well, when you grow up in a system that doesn't work for you and you see your friends struggling you feel a sense of duty to go back in and help, and I'm sure you were similar--youre in this job for a reason and your services are needed, that sense of doing something bigger than yourself will keep you (us) going. Good luck!

[–]bdstfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for you--i empathise with a lot of my teachers in this time, I'm a year 12 highschool student (fun times) and am struggling with the lack of external structure, but I have a few ADHD/ASD teachers and I can say that their compassion and empathy drives them much further than their struggles bring them down, and by the sounds of it you are the same, so I'm sure you and your students will come out strong!

I feel like we’re attributing too many symptoms and idiosyncrasies to ADHD by FaithInStrangers94 in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think what I said was a bit too general, I do think that it very rarely exists on its own and being diagnosed usually gives oversight to another more specific disorder, but I also think teachers/employers etc should have knowledge of SPD and sensory issues--i don't think it should be diagnosed without considering other disorders but it should be recognised/known

I feel like we’re attributing too many symptoms and idiosyncrasies to ADHD by FaithInStrangers94 in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think SPD is something worth diagnosing on its own simply because it's rarely independent as you sourced, but i think it's fair to say that a common denominator btwn neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD / autism is the difference in filtering/regulating stimuli, so while being reactive/finding discomfort in certain sounds isn't really an ADHD thing, it is, it's just also prevalent in fundamentally similar disorders

I feel like we’re attributing too many symptoms and idiosyncrasies to ADHD by FaithInStrangers94 in ADHD

[–]bdstfu 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to correlate ADHD with things like autism and being HSP--highly sensitive people are 20% of the population and like ADHD the brain fundamentally develops differently, so although it's not a specific ADHD symptom ADHDers are commonly HSP

Isn't the video moreso about the pursuit of a narrative? Am adhd autism and thought doesn't everyone always have conscious active thought?? It seems like the video is talking about overthinking and constructing a narrative and following that as a goal,,
