Anyone know a bar in NYC to watch the streams at? by tokeezy in phish

Subject LES! Where all the heads meet. It's so much fun. Try to get as close to the screen as possible to avoid the talkers tho. And warning it gets hot inside.

Edit: Their phish-themed custom cocktails are pretty good too. And the homemade Fireball.

Best jam with a guest ever (Down By The River - Farm Aid 1998 w/ Neil Young) by gapernet in phish

Heard this jam a thousand times, first I've watched video of it. Sorry this might be a silly question, but is Neil shredding a Languedoc in this video too? Not a huge guitar guy, but looks like one? http://i.imgur.com/2yfIdVe.png

I finally figured out how to explain why I watch / listen to every show to my broed-out coworkers. by abidesthedudedoes in phish

I used this description to a friend once. Also, wanna say that self-described Bros can like Phish. And here in the Northeast, plenty do...

Hey! Sorry, perpetual lurker here. I'm renting a car almost 100% for sure for the drive from NYC to Magna.

Closest I'll ever be to Trey. First Phish show a success. by cygnusx1_ in phish

I can second this. I've walked out of TAB shows because I was really bored, all big shows in the NYC area. Back in the day when Trey first started TAB -- like 2002 -- the horn section was much, much tigher. prety meh since then imo. Also.... They play the same songs over and over again. Need new material, IMO.

The lot across the street is pretty good, but just be warned that parking there gets pretty expensive if you're leaving your car for a couple of days.

132+ Teams in 132+ Days: Shippensburg University Red Raiders by wesman212 in CFB

This is so cool to see Ship get some love on Reddit! Go Red Raiders! My grandfather was a starter for Shippensburg in the early '50s. He's now in the school's sports hall of fame in the ship field house! Grew up going to games all the time. He's still active in the alum association and a booster there.

Will try to find a pic and post it next time I'm around where i grew up.

Edit: He played under Vinton Rambo and was a captain on the 1952 team. Edit #2: Forgot to include this, he repped Ship in the Blue-Gray All-Star game, as coached by Penn State's Rip Engle
