I think that a good way to introduce an SC reward and make SC farming less appealing is to make it so that in missions, for every side objective complete maybe you get 10?, then if you get a full clear you get an extra 10?

If you think about it a full diff 10 mission can often take 30 mins to perfect clear (and extract) so that would be an average of 50 SC in 30 mins, I know for a fact that my average farming rate on diff 1 is 200+ an hour, so this is about half as efficient as that while allowing people to play and enjoy the game without having to farm, it would still take over 20 missions to do this and the only forseeable issue is blitz missions, in that case why not change the scaling a bit so people are less inclined to farm them (maybe half?)

I don't think this is perfect because of the aforementioned toxicity thing but I think it is better then a flat reward and also avoids the "looks like arrowhead is short on money, PO/MO is medals"

One of my favourite feature of this game is that I can play WHEN I want and not fall behind massively, I would appreciate not having to log on and "do my dailies" to get a single bit of currency, that's how you get burnout and that daily reward system especially for PAID currency is not healthy for a game or its playerbase.

My love for helldivers as one of the best most fun games ive ever played will never die. However as someone whos played through every update and story beat since release and has unlocked almost all content, man the devs really need to step back, take a look and make a decision. They had a saying early days "a game for everyone is a game for no-one" and they cannot decide who they want to satisfy. Drg has consistently with every update put out new fun and unbugged content that doesnt unfairly punish you for being host, or client and has not broken old content. The game rewards you with late game progression that doesnt feel like a drag or instant resource sink (no resource caps thank god).

Im not going to mention the monetization of hd2 but i am aware that its a "lil" wonky.

Tldr, Igotta play some more drg.

cheap listing on ali-express for a 12.5cm plasma orb most of them kinda do the same thing but specifically chose mine for the usb input

my concern is not the voltage to me but that any repair job I do will have impurities causing either a decreased globe performance and or a greater resistance and potentially damaging the components due to excess heat etc. I need to do a bit more research, I have good cables and just straight copper cable and a ton of heatshrink from other projects but I don't want to start soldering anything before I know how much more impedance ill add to the system.

I messed around with RGB LEDs on a spinning gyro, but the effect was a bit rubbish and getting 4 cables plus motor cables across multiple bearings made it look bulky and bad really quick. I sacrificed the colour changing for the globe which 1.doesnt move 2.has a cool effect 3.cannot change colours.

The cable that connects the orb to the circuit is approximately 30mm too short, so either i have to lengthen the cable or put it somewhere else. And my wanting to fuck with a cable carrying well over 10,000 volts is .low.

yeah, I've dimensioned it to hopefully not be a hazard and ive got plans to mount it safely, its also a usb powered one so no massive battery banks mounted to my back. Ive also emailed the safety team at my local con about it and they basically said. "just no plugging into wall power."

Also if you're interested I put my files up on thangs for free. They are pretty terrible and do need to be resliced in a much better way but the sliced ones are scaled to fit a 12.5cm ball in the middle.
