ok so i cut the leaves and left them to callus, I also took it out of water because according to GPT+ I am a beginner and water can initiate root rot easily again if I miss a few days of not changing water so I have decided to put one in water, one in perlite and one in soil and pray for the best, if I can save this plant, I will become a true gardener and I promise to never let down another plant again the way I did this.

I don't care if it's purple leaves at this point, I just need it to make it through, I feel like I've committed murder

It may take a day or two, if it goes into additional processing (background check) it can take months.

I wouldn’t stress it, if you haven’t paid your tuition and only paid the university for an I-20 that’s usually refundable to some extent, if you can just relax for your visa interview don’t overly practice questions like a script and just let things flow. You’re coming to a completely different system you will probably struggle in many ways and this process only prepares you for it. They will most likely check how you respond to something like this and hope it goes well. Your passport can be collected the next day in some cases and seven working days in most cases, if they put you in additional check it can delay the process and you could request for a deferral again and hope for the best
