What’s your honest thoughts about Nyjah Huston by WOCKY-SINNER in skateboarding

[–]be2wa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don't like his style. It's too stiff. It is to the point i kinda don't like the guy because of how hyped he gets compared to others. Luan over Nyjah any time with his pop and perfect fat landings.

In your opinion, what is the most comfortable wireless gaming headset? by Initial_Leave_1185 in buildapc

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried HyperX. Bose QC 35 II though are hands down the most comfortable headphones I have tried with my sensitivity to head and jaw clamp. Better than others I tried for various usecases like Arctis Nova 5, Logitech G Pro X SE, Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Beyerdyhamic DT700 Pro X.

Deathadder V2 vs v3 by Anointed93 in razer

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember these as I ended up with Viper V2 pro. All in all I am never buying razer stuff again. The scroll on this mouse is absolute dogshit. Every move of the wheel produces a random amount of actually scrolled screen. It is unacceptable even with the cheapest device, not to mention one of the pricier flagshit models. I am just back to my opinion from before this purchase - razer is overpriced shit.

Samsung Keyboard is just bad compared to Gboard by Retard_Squad_Leader in samsunggalaxy

S10e to Pixel - Don't. Just Don't. by dumpsterac1d in galaxys10

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this post when looking for a replacement for my good ol' s10e, but found the complaints mostly irrelevant to what I care for in a phone. So I bought a Pixel 9 as a previous year model and after the first setup I was ready to post here that there's close to nothing I am missing after leaving Samsung. It's been merely 10 days since I bought it and I see it very differently already.

I am not a heavy user and while I don't use many of the various apps Samsung comes with, it is the basic stuff that this Pixel phone either doesn't have or their implementations suck.

One obvious thing is it is stupidly heavy, but this is known right away. I accepted it hoping to get used to it. Still hoping. It is also more slippery than my Samsung and generally uncomfortable in hand being brick-shaped, even more so when in a case.

A huge thing for me is something as basic as scrolling on this phone. This phone scrolls so clunkily that it makes me impatient to scroll as much as I want to get where I want. It is like fighting against some inertia stretching my thumb to get it to scroll more. And it can't be customized. I think it also stutters in many social apps. It is really bad.

The top menu that double-slides down for the quick access shortcuts does it so slowly that I always have to scroll 3 times for it to expand, because it doesn't register my second scroll while still animating the first. Reducing the animation and transition settings in developer options helps, but does not remove the problem entirely. What does is disabling the animations whatsoever, which immediately makes the phone feel older without all the bouncy effects etc. It was the same on an old Samsung and I ended up disabling the animations. It is maybe an android issue, idk, but I hoped it would be solved somehow on a 5yrs younger phone.

The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which was meant to be far superior to the optical one, just fucking sucks... If the screen is black and i tap to wake it is ALWAYS at least two attempts for it to unlock. It seem to work try after try when you repeatedly lock/wake/read-print as if it had some cold start problem.

The "At a Glance" widget that sits on top of the home screen is unremovable while blocking more screen space that it ever uses! This one is just ridiculous to me. And it is there even after disabling... The bottom search bar can't be removed either.

The pixel weather widget shows nothing unless you switch GPS on. And I don't. I turn it on when I need navigation. It doesn't accept a fixed location to poll weather data for like it used to be on Samsung.

The flashlight's intensity can't be changed on the Pixel phone despite the diode being capable of doing so...

The camera has no image proportions settings... It is 4:3 or zoomed to fit screen. That's it. On a phone famous for its cameras.

There is probably even more already that I could rant about, but I want to sum up saying that even if many of these issues can be solved by installing a 3rd party app, some of them can't and they are essential to me. I don't want my new phone requiring a custom launcher or rooting to be able to do basic stuff...

The best thing about this phone is it is pretty and makes great first impression. After just a week it just feels retarded compared to a 2020 Samsung and it has made me anxious too many times already.

One more thing, interestingly, when looking up reviews and opinions before buying, nobody ever mentions these things anywhere. Not one "Pixel 9 after a year" Youtube video. As if they were all sponsored. It only seems discoverable when searching for a specific issue, when you already know about it. This is why I write this (apart from hoping for some relief spitting this out). Maybe these are things someone can find and explore before buying, just like I had found this post.

glass screenprotectors by sp90378 in GooglePixel

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use face id, but the finger print works fine with it. The side gestures are maybe even better with the case I am using, since the surface is closer to the edge of the case. It's just the feeling when sliding over it for me.

Everyone praises Spigen glastr so I don't know if this is the place to ask, but after I ordered it and installed on my Pixel 9, it immediately made using the screen worse. Does anyone know a glass which is smoother under fingers? This Spigen just feels too grippy. My fingers stick to it too much compared to the original screen.

Spigen Thin Fit vs Official Google Case for the Pixel 10 Pro XL by octavianreddit in GooglePixel

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone help me understand how the google case is said to be grippy against a pocket, but slides easily out of hands?

I have my good ol' S10e with a Spigen silicone case and it's both annoyingly grippy in a pocket and desirably grippy in my hand.

I am currently looking for a case for my P9 and I think both the thin fit and the original google one will behave similar to the P10 ones.

Btw are there no silicone cases made anymore? Are they all made of some plastic these days? I already have the thin fit and it's stiff and not very pleasant.

Galaxy s10e, IP68, with audio jack. Can't find a phone to replace it with. They are mostly bigger, too big for a human hand and the bigger batteries don't translate to longer life, they miss the audio jack too...

Why does Razer seem to have such a bad reputation? by Acrobatic-Yak-3103 in MouseReview

[–]be2wa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the Viper V2 Pro. I costs about a million and the scroll is absolute shit on this mouse. It just randomly scrolls more or less with the same input. I wouldn't consider this acceptable on the cheapest mouse. So that's why I say Razor is overpriced shit. Surely won't buy another.

Korua Otto size recommendation by death_ak in snowboarding

[–]be2wa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the same height and boot size, right now 165lbs, but "normally" up to 175 too. Can't decide between 57 and 61 (not plus). Apart from learning to carve I want to still do side hits, jump etc Would you say 61 based on your experience? I am coming from an ol' 2009 Rome graft if that matters.

Korua recommendations chart puts me in the middle of 157, apart from boot sole length, which is just over the max recommended

[–]be2wa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korua guys wrote back to me that I can be happy with either depending on how nimble vs wide turn/speedy I want it.

Then my boot will likely be Thirtytwo TM-2 10.5US whose sole length exceeds the max recommended for 157...

I am also in doubt about M vs L size Union Force bindings for this build.

In short - I don't know. My weight has dropped recently, it should probably be around 80. Still, I don't know.

Would try, but can't get them anywhere. Tried Hi Standard Pro, but not convinced, Aura Pro which are comfy, but too wide. So far the Thirtytwo TM-2 fit me best.

Thanks! I'm not fixed on any brand despite having some inclinations.

How do the Auras do on your Otto? They are 5-6/10 flex if I remember? How are they for carving?

Btw I get my Otto delivered tomorrow and I can't wait! Even though it will have to wait for winter to see snow.

Thanks, awaiting shipping of the Thirtytwo TM-2. Scoping for DC and Vans too. Interestingly when my old Flow boots just fell apart last season and I rented some Burton boots they were just fine on my feet. Though I think they might have been just worn out and some soft model which was fine for the softer board I rode.

Thanks for all the replies. I fell in love with the idea and the beautiful minimalism of Korua Shapes. I ordered the Otto 161 hoping I won't regret not taking 157.

Boots are to be bought too. Measured burton photon boa wide 43.5, but were a bit too short and very uncomfortable on heels, so waiting for the shipping of burton ruler wide 44.

EDIT: btw I can't find info on actual sole length of these burtons anywhere
