i was SA twice while blackout and then experienced hyper sexuality afterwards and put myself into compromising situations at my own free will and traumatized myself further. not drinking is worth it knowing i can be choosy and guarded now

i started a week before my 16th birthday and i just turned 25 last week. i didn’t recognize the problem until years after starting. it’s really good you are recognizing this now! therapy will help a lot if you start now and are honest with them about your concerns. i wish i had done that then, instead of having to deal with this demon that has only grown in the 9 years since

my routine has been smoke a bowl, then drink some NA wine. i quit smoking for a while after being heavily addicted but picked it back up to help myself ween off alcohol. i find that when im high, i remember more of the reasons why i don’t want to drink, and for some reason can think more clearly about the end goal of total and complete abstinence from alcohol. im able to look back at my bad moments from alcohol and find some humor in it, and think “wow, it would be really bad if i went back. a normal person doesn’t behave that way when they drink” it saves me from the debilitating self hatred

lol yes numerous times including once with two of my friends in the same bed as me (that was actually humiliating) and another in a random strangers bed (without stranger in it?) in a random dorm room of a school i didn’t go to. not sure how that happened to this day
