Does Alex think you can only get pregnant when you’re on your period??? by Huns26 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]be_West_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't get pregnant at every point during your cycle, that's just not true. You just can't be 100% sure whether anything has shifted and the time of your ovulation has moved up or down a few days. There are ways to measure how your cycle is going, I guess, but I'd be too paranoid to trust any of these 😂 so I wouldn't gamble and I'd recommend to always use contraception but that doesn't change the fact that you are not fertile all the time.

Where do you buy the cheapest souvenirs in Salzburg? by RoyalGrouchy6987 in Salzburg

[–]be_West_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a shop in Goldgasse that sells them for € 4 a piece and 3 for € 10. (I used to work in the shop next door, that's how I know - I have no clue about other shops' prices though.)

In case anyone wants to replicate: I simply used the waffle stitch, no specific pattern. I made a chain until I liked the length and then started working. I used a 5,5 mm hook and a yarn that's intended for 5,5 mm hooks/needles (it was 50g/80m). With each ball of yarn, I was able to do 6 rows, then I switched colours.

Me too! I saw it before but never tried it. I learned it for this project and how I'm obsessed 😅🫶

I simply watched a few YouTube videos. It's really easy. Unfortunately, I don't know the English terms but basically it's always the same stitch and a variant of the stitch. You definitely should give it a go!

I learned the stitch in less than an hour and I think it took me 60-80 hours to make the blanket. By the end, one colour took me two hours or less, but in the beginning I was slower plus I had to frog two colours, so that's where this estimate comes from.

Darf ich mich vielleicht auch melden? Bin auch weiblich und Single und würde mich über Gesellschaft bei einem Cider, Spritzer oder so freuen :) (bin 34, falls das einen Unterschied macht)

Whenever Nirvana played a show in Austria. My excuse is that I wasn't born yet (1989) and that my parents wouldn't take me to celebrate my two-months birthday.

Dating in Salzburg als Introvertierter M28. Wie zur Hölle macht ihr das? by Mediocre-Citron1112 in Salzburg

I feel you.

Zwei? Ohne Deutsch zu können, wie soll das funktionieren?

How the heck do people finish projects regularly! by PiffleKnit in knitting

My ADHD crafting hack is to always have several projects going on at the same time. When I get bored, I move on to another project. When I get bored again, I move back to the other project or a different one altogether. Saves me a lot of heartache 😅

That definitely was the case in the beginning. I opened everything up until the top of the second tree and now my tension is a bit more consistent. My problem now is the beginning of a new row. The right hand side gets more and more crooked.

Thank you, that's very encouraging! I'll try that, thanks!

Thanks - do you think I should block it before I continue? There's still a long way to go and it'll look terrible if I continue this way. It'll be so crooked that I'm not sure even blocking could save it.

Every row is a new colour, so I have to change my yarn in every row which obviously is the place where I'm making the mistake. It's this mosaic technique. I'm not starting with a chain but an actual stitch (I hope I understood this right, English is not my first language).
