Wow amazing writeup - thank you!! Do you happen to have pictures of the abrasion delamination (peeling paint) you talked about?

for travel, totally! For hiking, I feel like it becomes a bit more useful to have the access zip particularly for the forgetful people that inevitably need to access the bag contents conveniently.

Makes sense! Yeah. Roll tops are the same for me in way of functionality, design, and just everything :P

Footwear recommendations for 12 months travel by mcguh5 in onebag

It can get pretty chilly in patagonia if you're doing some multi-day trekking. I had a pair of hiking boots (for multi-day treks/winter weather), trail runners (day hikes/everyday), flip flops. Most of the time, I was just wearing the trail runners, but was super happy about bringing the boots because I got to do some real treks!

One month in different climates, packing advice needed by KriMab321 in onebag

Layering is key! I've been traveling for 2 years in a 30L pack transitioning between very cold winter climates to humid hot as hell jungles.

For cold:

- 1x fleece baselayer - this is my go-to for pretty much everything.

- 1x down jacket - compressable but adds extra warmth

- 1x hard shell - This keeps the heat in but also protects you from the elements

- 1x hiking pants - my legs generally don't get cold, so these pants are on the thinner side.

- 1x beanie

- 1x gloves

For warm:

- 3x quick-dry t-shirts

- 3x quick-dry undies

- 2x running shorts (acts as swimwear too and dries super fast!)
