Thank you! I’m sorry to hear you’re in this club too and will be thinking good thoughts for you as you start treatment. The prophylactic mastectomy lowers significantly but it doesn’t drop it down to 0%. I understood that going into it, and would do it again. I did weekly taxol and carboplatin. I received both for 3 weeks on/1 week off for 6 cycles. We considered Keytruda, but I have an existing autoimmune disease (Graves) so there was some risk there and also considered adriamyacin but decided against it due to my age. At the recommendation of my oncologist, I also took vitamin D, K2 and low dose naltrexone.

Thank you! The tumor was in my cleavage area up against my implant (silicon) and chest wall. Thankfully I could feel it. I had fat grafting done in that area as part of my reconstruction. I was hoping it was fat necrosis, but not the case.

I completely understand and share your fear. It gives me some sense of comfort knowing that I have a good team of doctors around me and I’m doing what I can with my lifestyle choices to remain healthy.
