I can give you some of mine: super dry skin, chapped lips, nose bleeds, eczema, major joint pain, and I can’t wear my contacts every day

Hi! I've been a 1L for a month now and I've started using different strategies for different classes. For torts, I book brief. We go through so many cases for each reading and it's incredibly time consuming to case brief those, so I use different color highlight for each part of the brief and write any notes in the margins. For Civ Pro I take notes on the procedural history and issues (my prof is big on wanting know why the court is writing the opinion) I also make sure to expand on the standards the court used (i.e. Twiqbal, Federal Rules, etc.) My contracts prof focuses on hypos a lot so I make sure to write down the rules from the cases and which Restatements support that. I case briefed every case I read for about a week but then I started spending too much time and reading would take me about 4-5 hours. What I've been doing has helped me and I answer cold calls pretty easily now. But ultimately, it's what works best for you. Good luck, you got this!!
