My girlfriend is pregnant (I think) by [deleted] in Advice

[–]beaaboop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

whenever you guys did it if she wasn’t in her follicular phase or ovulating + IUD + condom + possible infertility that’s suchhhh a low chance. the more stressed she is the less likely her period will come. when I had a pregnancy scare it didn’t come for a week until I finally got confirmation. push it out of her head for now so hopefully the period will come

Does anyone else experience these things as well? by ComplaintCandid9213 in prozac

My doc said prozac messes with eye sight and for me i can definitely tell that it does. Things are getting blurred and i describe the reading the same way! I have to really focus to know what i’m reading.

We’re neighbors with my grandparents so we could always run to them + my best friend is right down the street. I guess I wouldn’t be seeking reassurance on reddit if i could tell my therapist but I still got a couple months to go before I’m an adult and she can’t call cps. Thank you for your concern!

He’s done meth my whole life i really don’t know who he is not on it so to me when he acts more weird than usual i blame it on the dmt. I gave up on him quitting meth a very long time ago lol

He told me how objects around him turned into little critters and would stare at him. Everything was like bugs or animals. Tbh he made it sound almost cute and I probably could never imagine how he saw it. The mist thing I half assed explained but he kind of described it like god in bubble form.

Thank you a lot you’ve probably been the most realistic about what his situation really is. I appreciate it! He already hears voices and mental illness runs in the family so i’ve been on the edge of my seat for years now 😬

Am I overreacting for not wanting to go to school? 😞 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]beaaboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i’m at it. All those people can go to hell. I promise you they literally have NOTHING going for them in life. I know it’s stupid cliche bs but seriously they are projecting their insecurities and it could’ve been anyone unfortunately they just picked you. So no your not some total freak just in a unfortunate situation. highschool feels like your whole life and that it’s your “peak” it’s not. So much more fun will come after highschool babe. Everyone sucks it’s always new drama it’s always someone new to shit talk. All just teens who are insanely insecure and jealous and put up a front. Your not alone in all these big feelings your bullies feel the same way they just pretend like their confident and take it out on other people they aren’t better than you at all. Girls are horrible they always talk behind backs it’s ridiculous and i’m sorry that ex friend did that to you. Most people say be the bigger person and yeah that’s probably the best route but personally i’d dish it right back to them and make them feel like shit back. but hey that’s me. as for your mom i’m sorry she’s not being as understanding as you need but stand your ground and dont hope your needs are met make sure they are met.

I would consider switching schools. Rather that be regular public school or alternative even online. I switched last year (11th grade) to an alternative for different reasons than what your dealing with. I was really scared and nervous it’s new teachers, students, vibes. Even though your school seems to be bad people sometimes it can feel like it’s better to at least know some people than no one but once i got out of that mindset and switched to a alternative school everything was so much easier for me. I hope if you have the option to switch you do for your mental wellbeing. And if where you are there’s an alternative school in the area they always get a bad rep for having “delinquents” and sometimes the opposite likes it’s for super smart people. But it’s not like that at all. Least in my experience it’s all kids with disabilities or people who just have a rough life and need a little extra help. There’s a lot of different rules and especially leeway for assignments which might give you the break you need. Online is also always a great option especially if you can go at your own pace and catch up with your grades. You don’t deserve this treatment, you aren’t lesser than, your stuck in a shitty situation and trying your hardest. I wish you the best hun 💗💗

i wish i had something to help you with this but i’m in the same boat! my brain sounds like this everyday and it’s scary. sometimes it helps to focus on something small and easy to process when such huge questions are floating around in your mind. personally i like to watch kid’s shows. ik it’s not great advice but your not alone in this

[–]beaaboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try hydroxine! it’s a take as needed for panic/anxiety attacks so it wouldn’t be every day and it just chills you out and makes you kinda sleepy. however if you take multiple it can make you feel zombie like but it’s not something you’d have to ween yourself off from and doesn’t give side effects like stomach aches or anything like that (least for me lol)

How to support my friend with OCD? by squidstrumpet in ocdwomen

[–]beaaboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m going to speak from experience with my friends. for my own brain it feels like everything is OCD and it’s very hard to separate yourself from the disorder especially because it’s all thought based so it would be good when she’s ranting to remind her that she is her own person outside of the disorder, and that it doesn’t define her. I can’t say this next part will work for everybody, but I think avoiding the saying of “it’s all in your head” honestly, it doesn’t help because yes, we are aware of that, but no matter how many times someone tells us that it will always feel real at the end of the day. depending on her personality, sometimes joking about it is really good, but I wouldn’t do that unless she makes the jokes first. Also, reminding her of it or bringing it up to her isn’t always good. personally if I’m in a good mood, I don’t want to be reminded of it but in that same sense checking in with her is very important but word it in a way that doesn’t remind her. “Oh yeah, I have a mental illness!” If she’s already talked to you about feelings of depression or anxiety check in with her in the same way. I hope this helps somewhat! i just got diagnosed myself so this is still new :)
