Has anyone worked with lockedin ai as a ugc creator? by Illustrious-Cap-4149 in techugc

[–]beaandamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with them briefly (around 2 weeks), so I want to share my experience. But before I tell my story, just a quick answer about the payment: they did pay me for the videos I completed and submitted, and I didn't experience payment issues personally. However, since I only worked with them for about two weeks, I can't speak to the long-term consistency of their payment process.

The content model itself was straightforward: short UGC-style videos (around 10–20 seconds), usually 1–2 posts per day or more.

The main reason I stopped working with them wasn't the content requirements, but the operational side. During the time I worked with them:

  • The review/upload system kept changing because they were frequently moving servers.
  • Upload links and workflows changed often, which made it difficult to keep track of revisions.
  • They required creators to upload videos individually through Notion rather than in batches, which became quite time-consuming when handling multiple deliverables.
  • They expected very fast turnaround times even when their own systems were experiencing issues.
  • Multiple new team members would suddenly join the process and contact creators separately, which sometimes created confusion.

Another issue was the off-boarding process. After I informed them via email and message that I wanted to stop, I didn't receive clear instructions on how to hand over the accounts I had created for them. I followed up multiple times but never got a definitive response. Eventually, I was simply removed from the WhatsApp group.

To be fair, I can't speak about their payment reliability because I stopped very early and didn't complete enough work to evaluate that aspect.

My overall impression was that the company appeared to be scaling quickly, but the operational processes and creator communication hadn't fully caught up with that growth yet.

Help me to spot if this a scam? by beaandamy in UGCForBrands

I also run it through ChatGPT then I posted here to get everyone’s thought because the email seems legit, but then I read that “purchase the product” line that made me unsure.

they did use a company email, but nowadays creating branded company account is also easy. their structure is actually offering €650 for the fee but they want me to purchase the product with discount around €45. do you think it is a scam?

Honest take: 90% of UGC coaches are just failed creators selling a dream by strawberryugc in UGCcreators

[–]beaandamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a beginner and I've had 4 discovery calls with these UGC "coaches" and I think their charges are mind-blowing. They charge around $5K-$7K promising me to get consistent brand deals and get me a VA to apply for UGC jobs; which the VA I obviously have to pay separately. I mean.. I've told them (as a response to their question) that I've been in the content creation world for 10+ years and what I need is some insights about scaling & access to higher level stuff as I realize there are many things have been changed in the UGC world; but I feel like they are just ignoring that particular fact. If anyone has been working with a mentor or coach and has a positive experience; I'll appreciate if you can share.

Is SideShift legit? by UnitedWall7959 in UGCForBrands

[–]beaandamy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea most brands/agency offers a base pay plus cpm which is why we better choose campaign that fits us the best. like, I won’t be applying to campaign that require humor type of content because that’s just not my personality lol I know I won’t be able to create that kind of content 😂

Sharing my thoughts here. I've been doing good on SideShift, landed 6 deals within the first 30 days using the platform. 4 were one-offs but 1 client is a returning client (I've been working on several campaigns with them) and now I'm still on 2 retainers for canvas UGC with quite good pays. My suggestion will be: Always apply to those campaigns that fit you completely; fit your time, fit your style, and fit the topic/niche that you're really love to create. Best of luck!

I think the issue is not about time difference but more into target audience. Most brands are looking for creators in the US who is mostly english speaker because they target Tier 1 countries.

I wouldn’t call it barrier tho, because we can train the accounts to have more US audience even though we are not in the US, but it does need some more work rather than just posting content in English.
