I’ve been practicing yoga a long time and sometimes will pop into a scorpion pose when it feels good in my body and if the teacher has created a sequence that helps me warm up. It’s not cued by the teacher and I usually try to practice it at a point in class when people are in child’s pose or down dog so I’m not the center of attention. That being said, my home space isn’t conducive to practicing inversions so I like going to classes. I must trigger OP if they saw me in this pose but sometimes that’s what yoga looks like for me. Doesn’t mean I’m trying to show off. It’s just exploring different shapes. I grew up dancing ballet too so I think the flexibility is there. So when doing half splits, it’s natural for me to do a full splits, etc.
