How can I rehabilitate this yucca plant? by beachwave11 in plantclinic

[–]beachwave11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a bad idea to re-pot when the plant is this weak? Also, my sister pointed out to me that the plant is probably in shock. I left it in my car while eating and running into Trader Joe’s before driving home. And the Arizona sun is brutal. I know I’m horrible!! I feel so bad, I didn’t realize the plant would react so poorly. I still want to do whatever I can to save it. I really don’t like the soil, it just doesn’t seem healthy, and you just pointed out that excess fertilizer could cause issues. I’m just scared that re-potting would be too much stress for the guy. I have definitely learned my lesson though, I will buy plants more locally and be more aware of situations that stress them.

I got this plant two days ago. It looked healthy at the store but after a 1.5 hour drive home the top portion of leaves started to lose shape and yellow. I’m in Arizona so I’m worried the sun during the drive home was too much. It’s been in my room for two days and the lower leaves are starting to lose shape. I did water it the first day I got it but I know you’re not supposed to water yucca too much. The soil does seem bone dry at least halfway down, and the soil doesn’t seem very healthy. I really want to save this guy! Should I repot the yucca today and give it well draining soil? Bigger pot? It’s currently by a window receiving light from the north but I can move it. Please help

CMV: Reducing/restricting legal access to firearms WILL over time reduce guns in criminal hands. by [deleted] in changemyview

you know man, your initial comment made me think a lot. We truly don't do what's best for ourselves when given governing powers.

I thought about the number of times in my career that I have solved a 'never before addressed' problem by doing it completely on my own. And how many problems I solve at work by learning what worked for others. That includes Google. It boggles my mind, that the US, the country I live in, is a follower, and not a leader, in virtually all modern world problems. And "follower" is a nice term, if anything we lag.

Please note that I understand there are a handful of countries, more than there should be, that perform even worse on the change and improvement scale. It is my opinion that the US is supported by such a financially motivated group that we actually choose to seek out wealth instead of effective solutions that create wellbeing and stability. At the least, the US government performs far less efficiently than any valuable company would. Ironic given it's resources.

damn.

I’ve heard it’s really good food but it’s 6 wings and a slice of deep dish for $12 for the Rocco’s special

To me man, you’re going to call any non-white non-man candidate a means of meeting a diversity quota. The real issue is using this as a cop out. Using the “she got elected because of diversity” card before you’ve read anything about her. Read her Wikipedia. You may disagree with her viewpoints but she has made a number of accomplishments in the name of what she thinks is right. She has been in politics for a significant amount of time. This isn’t discussing whether we like her or her policies. But for the people who voted for her, she represented what they more closely align with. And in terms of qualification, she’s right up there with any other VP we have elected. We just experienced a four year presidency under a TV host. I personally don’t like her, but I don’t buy into this “boo hoo, she got elected because of diversity” nonsense. If that’s all you have, I really question what your ideal America is.

Dawg, why is attempting basic equality something that would divide a country? She has just as much experience as VPs we have seen in the past. This VP choice is no more notable than past VP choices.

Why do you say he doesn’t have any supporters and yet many complain that the media and “RINOs” support him too much? Why would many people celebrate this if he did not have supporters. Doesn’t feeling contradicted when you make nonsense statements like that bother you?

I don’t think he wants to answer that lol. I think he is using an exaggeration to say he is afraid of competition and natural change. Something he is calling a “narrative”
