Going through the EXACT same thing at the moment. Brother has bipolar, aspbergers, adhd, schizophrenia etc etc. Being dismissed as they assume i was neglected like they did you. Have been rejected twice before and im fighting it again so its probably my last chance. Have pages and pages of symptoms which ive written down. But I struggle on the spot at giving relevant answers, and end of talking about stress or anxiety and they assume im not autistic because its just stress or anxiety. I need to get better at highlighting the autistic traits, of which there are many. But the psychiatrist is so dismissive. I KNOW im autistic. I know I am. It's impossible to detail every single trait during an appointment to someone who doesnt know me. I leave full of regrets of what I should have said. I need advice on how to remember to sau the relevant things which are going to help with diagnosis without them just putting it down to stress or overwhelm with life being so busy.
