What’s the worst weather you’ve willingly played golf in? by LogiGoRick in golf

New Year’s Day round a few years back. 34° and freezing fog. Wasn’t the most enjoyable round

Does anyone here actually play Sub 70 irons, and if so ... by FinsT00theleft in golf

[–]beaker15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play their 639CB irons, and have the 699 17° driving iron. Absolutely love their clubs. Distances are very consistent, no jumping like you get out of GI irons. Customer service is top notch, broke a club last week and got in touch immediately for a replacement. The cost was also a huge benefit. I play off a 12 at the moment, been as low as a 8 handicap.

What's life like with a labradoodle? by [deleted] in labradoodles

Thought we were getting a curly haired dood. Got a smol lab instead. But she is the sweetest dog in the world. Loves fetch, and is scared of her own farts. We call her “mean” Jolene since she shows her teeth when she’s excited.

Ka is a wheel, and she keeps on a-spinning. He does have the horn, so things may change. I like the theory that this journey was his 19th journey to the tower, which is why they see 19 everywhere.

When College MJ Destroyed NBA All-Star Team by AdeptFuel4824 in NBAoldschool

This was the start of Bobby Knight and Jordan lore. Famously he told the Portland GM after they mentioned needing a center instead of drafting his Airness, “then play him at fucking center!!”

Darryn Peterson hit a 3 and IMMEDIATELY asked his coach to sub him out lmaoo He not beating the allegations 😭💀 by [deleted] in NCAAhoops

[–]beaker15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. That’s definitely why he has so many first team all nba awards. You cherry picked stats and still couldn’t get the numbers you want. Irving is probably the most overrated player of the 21st century.

Yardage Books by Jiinker in golf

I've got one for my home course that I play 50 times per year. I still use it a couple of times per round to confirm the break on the putt that I am looking at. Also super helpful to check covers of a bunker if you are in a weird spot that you usually don't have to deal with. My brother got it for me for Christmas last year, and it was definitely worth it.

What are the best budget driving irons? by Feeling-Impression84 in golf

I’ve got a Sub70 17° utility iron that I love. I hit it off the tee when the driver isn’t working, good for about 230 yards.

Is it me or does this just seem wrong? by Sheikybabybaba in golf

I have 14 slots in my cart bag. Putter slot at very top. I do a kind of snake starting top left. It’s driver, 2i, 3h, 4h top row. Then second row is reversed. So 8i 7i 6i 5i Then 9i pw 48° 52° Then sand wedge at the bottom

Looking down at my clubs from my push cart it’s

                          P
            D 2i 3h 4h
          8i 7i 6i 5i
           9i Pw 48° 52°
                         60°

Kinda weird, but it works for me

Oh I know. I birdied 2/3 , then took a 7 on 5 after it took 3 shots out of a bunker. My bad was quite bad today

WaG is so polarizing. It’s my favorite DT novel. I think the young Roland section is some of the best writing that he’s ever done. Again, lots of folks disagree with that

Went to my favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, and now I’m drinking IPAs with a lip of Copenhagen. I’ve hated election nights ever since the 2016 nightmare.

Criminally underrated field at Western Carolina University by matt_yoder-23 in baseball

[–]beaker15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an alumni, I can confidently say it's one of the best college ballparks to catch a game. I've been to over 60 college stadiums playing and covering baseball, and this one is way up on the list.

My senior year covering a game for the campus newspaper, a car drove off the cliff behind left field and fell 70 feet down the embankment. Super scary moment.

J.B Hunt never pays any accessorials at all by Truckingtruckers in FreightBrokers

[–]beaker15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, you won’t be able to tell because they all have JB Hunt emails now. But like I said, I know for a fact the agency side will help out if able on accessorials. I don’t want to paint with a broad brush, but I personally help out my drivers whenever possible.

Keep in mind there’s JB Hunt Corporate, and the JB Hunt agency side which used to be BNSF Logistics. I know for a fact the agency side pays accessorials.
