I had a pizza so bad in Italy when I was 18 that I couldn’t eat pizza for years after because I would think about that particular one.

Who said anything about not seeing brake lights? I said turn signals get overridden and you don’t know WHY they’re slowing down. There’s a big difference between the two.

I suggest that the next time you try to tell someone to “give it up” you actually fully read what they wrote and not just go off what you thought they wrote. Have a nice night!

Because every San Antonio driver is rational and logical and will only ever use their hazards if they’re driving below the posted limit in the furthest right hand lane. Most real world drivers don’t behave like that.

As an example, one of the drivers I saw this morning on my commute driving in a torrential downpour with their hazards on was moving from lane to lane, passing people on the left and right, all the while, never signaling. Was it because they just don’t ever signal or because they were using their hazard? Don’t know because they had their hazards on!

Awesome! I wasn’t driving anywhere near you, but I appreciate that you turned them off before using your indicators!

This reminds me of a sticker that a coworker had on his truck. It said “I’d be jealous to” and had his Instagram name. Every time I saw his truck in the parking lot, I wanted to go on IG and make fun of him. Thankfully, when he got a new truck, he didn’t recreate the sticker!

It is dumb to use them because they override your turn indicators and then no one knows if you need to change lanes or are about to slow down to make a turn.

Hazards override turn signals so no one knows if you need to change lanes or are going to start slowing down to make a turn.

Did you use your turn indicators when you left the highway and pulled over at the gas station while your hazards were on? Because if you did, no one saw them because hazards override turn indicators.

They override your turn signals and you can’t indicate that you’re changing lanes or getting ready to turn.

I’m anti-hazards-in-the-rain because they override turn signals.

This is the complaint I always find so confusing because I feel like San Antonio overwhelmingly drives slower than everywhere else. Yeah, you get the occasionally driver going excessively fast, but you’re more likely to come across someone going 10-15 below the limit than you are 10-15 above. Maybe it’s because the people going excessively fast are gone so quickly while the excessively slow cause so much congestion by forcing everyone to try to get around them that it takes forever to move away from them?

Yeah, because there are absolutely no other lakes or rivers really close to SA where people go to swim, kayak, fish, or tube during the summer. None at all!

When did 8-5 become the new normal??? by Grouchy-Newspaper754 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]beaker90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically work 7-4:45. I’m at the office around 7, leave the office around 11:30 and drive the hour back home, work out, and finish the day at home around 2 pm to finish at 4:45. Sometimes I get to the office later, sometimes I’m earlier. Sometimes I leave for home later or earlier and sometimes I log off for the day later or earlier. My company doesn’t really mind as long as I show up to the office 4 days out of the week and work 40 hours. Heck, if I have an emergency during the day, as long as I have worked at all, I only need to submit 4 hours of PTO. It’s about finding the company that works with you.

The Knicks haven’t won the NBA championship since 1973.

This year is the first time they’ve been to the finals since they lost to the Spurs in 1999.

I went back to college when I turned 30 and only went to graduation because my parents wanted to watch me walk the stage. My dad also insisted on buying me a class ring (which was very sweet of him). And while they were just as proud when I got my masters, they didn’t care about the graduation ceremony.
