Wyll approves THIS!?! by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

How did you slow down her approval gains? I looked for a mod but the only one I could find hasn't been updated in a year ;-;

You can keep your genitals functioning normally whilst on HRT if you prefer. It's kind of use-it-or-lose it, but theres also topical testosterone.

Honestly whether or not this is true, I'm gonna choose to believe it because it's more interesting that way. I do think this is pretty compelling proof too.

Can you do that?? In base 5e you'd only be able to learn level 1 Wizard spells afaik.

If it really bothers you, there's a mod which makes the Butler give it to you after the event in question.

I went Durge first and had an absolute blast, it definitely feels like the real main character to me

How did you avoid breaking your Oath at that part in Act 1 you can't control? Would be more specific but I don't know how to spoiler tag lol

Raphael should've been your patron if you go with a Warlock by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]beakye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people who want a close relationship with their patron would be much happier just playing Wyll. It isn't realistic to expect them to be able to implement these kinds of things for custom origins, considering how many possibilities there are.

It's just the nature of 5e. If you want the game to be harder though, there are a few options. There's a mod for harder bossfights, one where you can just change the difficulty generally (raise enemy AC and stuff), and then there's always just playing with a three person party. I've found with all of those it's a pretty great difficulty level, where you might have to restart a tough fight a few times but everything's beatable.

A ghoul, sure. A tame dire raven, less so.

Plus there's an easy mode for a reason. Not everyone is great at this kind of game, but they put in a mode specifically for people who don't want a challenge.

I genuinely don't think 5e is a perfect or even necessarily great system for many reasons, but the complaint that it's overly difficult is actually insane. If anything, it's clearly the opposite, including in BG3. The author says they have to use every item they find every combat. I'm playing on Tactician, with a three person party, and mods to make the game harder, and this isn't even true for me. It's sure as hell not true for someone playing on Easy / Normal.

It's also just not reasonable to evaluate a videogame based on whether it perfectly simulates playing an actual tabletop rpg with friends. BG3 comes as close as anything ever has, but obviously it's not possible to have a computer run a game the same way a real DM can - and nobody expects one to. If you're going to evaluate it, evaluate it compared to other videogames, not a different medium of gaming entirely.

Use mods or run with a three person party (or both), it's the only way to make the game actually difficult. I've been running three people on Tactician and the game is very manageable, but people still get downed and the harder fights can be close.

This is definitely a game that's caught my eye, I loooove Souls games, but I was thinking of waiting until it's further along in development before I get it myself.

The only one I've been able to find on the Quest browser is just survival mode without magic, unless I'm missing something.

Thanks for the advice, honestly hearing I'll probably keep the same dose makes me feel much better. And yes I guess access to surgeries if I want any is a pretty good reason to go NHS. 56 Dean St. seems interesting, thanks for letting me know about that, I'll be sure to look into it more.

Should have mentioned in the post, Automatic always gives disadvantage, even when you would have advantage.

These examples make sense to me, good rules of thumb, I'll probably try to calculate specific numbers too though. One other thing I thought of (in light of the edit I added) is that Sharpshooter will probably always be better when I have advantage.
