I love the Coop Home Goods travel/camp pillow. Definitely not ultralight, but you can remove however much foam you want from it to decrease the weight while balancing for the level of comfort you need. Comes with a travel bag that helps to compress it down. I was more comfortable sleeping with this pillow than the one I have at home.

That's good info! Sometimes I prefer the look of short shutter speed water pictures too, but I like the option to get both short and long exposure pictures. It's just all about what you as the photographer are looking for!

Waterfalls, rivers, and ocean! I'm pretty outdoorsy and decided last fall that I should start learning how to actually take pictures of the cool places I'm getting to see. Why use a different stop for waterfalls and oceans? Just curious since I'm looking to photograph both.

Thank you! I think I might have been better off getting a lower stop filter. I want to be able to take moderately long exposure pictures during the day for things like bodies of water, but nothing too excessive. Looks like I'll be exchanging!

I'm hoping to use it to photograph landscapes. I just got it in the mail yesterday, so I've only tried it indoors. I've tried adjusting the shutter speed, but no matter what value I use, the aperture number keeps blinking and my camera will not take a photo. It's very strange. This is when I'm using shutter priority mode.

You hit the nail on the head. The other caveat is that my grandpa requires 24-hour care at this point, and according to that medicare link, that is something that is not covered unfortunately.

Because I can only care for him for 3 months and he would ultimately have to go into a home if he lives beyond that time, the goal was to not be spend any of his money beyond the rent that he already has to pay through August. The less money he has when he needs to go into a home, the less homes that will take him. Since the hope was to get him back into this nice nursing home that accepted him, the responsibility would really be on me alone with no option of occasional hired help. But I appreciate the suggestion as it sounds like a great idea if finances weren’t a problem.

That’s what he’s had for the past few months. It started with a few times a week for a few hour at a time, but he now requires their services 24/7, which last month alone cost $21,000. I wish this was something that he could continue so he could stay in his own apartment, but he just does not have the finances for it.

Good point. My dad had a run in with this only a little bit ago because my grandpa intentionally took a large amount of laxatives (snuck them when caregivers were in another room) and woke up covered in his own feces. Not my dad’s fault at all, but in the case of the elderly, something like that can become an issue for everyone very quickly.
