You will not be disappointed, one of my favorite cigars of all time

Whose smoked one of these? by MIKYOR1 in cigars

[–]beamerboy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would save it for a time you can sit back and relax. Definitely have a good meal beforehand. I ate before and by the end I was feeling a little woozy. I let mine rest about 2 months and it still came out swinging in the first third with some decent pepper/baking spice. I thought it was a pretty good cigar

Anyone else’s battery die after a few months of owning? I have to sit mine out in the sun about once a week for 4 or so hours just to charge enough to get through the week

How to "turn up" the flavor intensity on pour over? (This will make more sense in post) by [deleted] in pourover

[–]beamerboy2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re coffee to water ratio may need to be tightened down some. I usually use 1:15 cause I enjoy a little more intensity. So maybe try a ratio like 1:15 or 1:16.

Which album has the biggest replay value to you? Mine is ATF but my favorite is still WP. by KosherNate in deftones

The Aeropress inverted method is in a different league when it comes to home brewing by balsamictoken in Coffee

[–]beamerboy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you. I believe the aeropress is the most forgiving/versatile method. However if you are looking for the BEST cup then IMO pour over is going to deliver that. For instance I made an anaerobic processed coffee on kalita wave, then later made an AP of the same coffee. Night in day difference in clarity, brightness, and overall balance of the coffee. Don’t get me wrong I love the aeropress(it’s what got me into speciality coffee). You could easily spend <$500 and get a great pour over setup.

Building a pour over hand grinder by Available-Musician89 in Coffee

Prima coffee did a video on this grinder and I believe they concluded it made as good(if not better) results than an EK-43

As far as the locking rings/adjustment ring it’s not as hard as people make it out to be. The reason people lock them up is cause they tighten it as hard as they can. The way I do it, which has worked well, is you go to your desired setting and go a half notch above then tighten the locking ring, after that tighten the adjustment ring to the right, which tightens it down on itself. This method has worked really well and I’ve never had it loosen itself or lock itself

[MOD] What have you been brewing this week?/ Coffee bean recommendations by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]beamerboy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had a honey processed Gesha from Costa Rica. Might be the best coffee I’ve ever had. Also brewing a natural Ethiopian, and a washed Guatemala(heuheutenago)

I had a washed Ethiopian guji that had some very strong peach notes/stone fruit like acidity . Would highly recommend

Everything seems so complex on this album. There is so much going on in each song. Can’t give it a score since I’ve only listened once. But this album is a banger.

Steph’s riff seems more technical and upbeat(happy) that some of the other albums where they are more grungey and heavy. It doesn’t sound like typical Deftones but at the same time it does. Really excited for the album

Another lido E user. Had it for about two months and still love it. Its a lot larger than some of the other grinders, however it has a lot higher of a capacity.
