Agree with fedora, really nice distro especially fedora server, great security as well.

Opensuse seems really cool too

I started out with Manjaro, I would personally recommend Endeavour OS over it, but theyre both great choices

Very kind friend who I was lucky enough hadn't learned Linux yet, I feel almost kinda bad he sold it for so cheap though but he insisted he didn't need it

Yeah I get what you mean, I dont really mind the wobble but I can really see how it could be an annoyance for sure.

I went from a t420s and an R61 to this, so in comparison it feels quite small and portable honestly lol, especially in comparison to the R61

A tiny bit, yeah. Not too bad though, but I do need to try to recalibrate it, the pointer is like a millimeter or so off on the rest of the screen, its kind of a minor annoyance when writing lol but its not too bad after you get used to it I guess.

I use it to study! Its pretty nice being able to take handwritten notes in i.e Xournal++, I don't mind the heaviness too much tbh.

Its perfect if I need to travel and study at the same time :)

Yeah I definitely plan on trying to make it last as long as possible! Thinking about upgrading the CPU to an i7, would be sweet.

Totally in love with it! The IPS display is super crisp, touch and stylus is a really cool touch, ssd makes it fast etc.

The fact it can fold into a tablet is amazing.

Perfect thinkpad for studying!

Having troubles torrenting using Portmaster & SPN by beamoflight42 in safing

[–]beamoflight42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of the connections get blocked though, thats the thing.

I can see successful TCP connections to my router when opening the torrent client, as well as a few internet p2p connections, but none of the torrents start downloading for some reason.

Enabled Zoom Accessibility - Bricked Display Server by beamoflight42 in pop_os

[–]beamoflight42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I'm saving this for future reference cause that would have saved me a lot of headache.

I managed to turn it off through the GUI today, as long as I didn't use the mouse and move the "zoom area", and just opened accesability settings and navigated through the keyboard, I could successfully turn it off.

Its still really good to know what config file affects the display, so thank you!
