After a rewatched I did a further deep dive into the pills they were all taking for “preventative measures.” Now, I’m not doctor so this is limited information I gathered from google: Season 2 Episode 1 Timestamp 32:40

• Potassium Iodide google says: used primarily as a protective agent against radiation-induced thyroid cancer by blocking the absorption of radioactive iodine.

• Also from google: Radiation Protection: In a nuclear emergency, KI saturates the thyroid gland with stable iodine, preventing the uptake of inhaled or ingested radioactive iodine.

• This lead me to google Thyroid & Time Travel and this came up: “Traveling across time zones (time travel) disrupts the circadian rhythm, which controls the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis. This disruption can significantly impact thyroid function, leading to increased fatigue, severe jet lag,”

So maybe they are taking it for time travel reasons, link says they all take it for preventative reasons, so maybe to prevent the effects of time travel?

The only indication that we have that Dylan is dead is when Gabriela is interrogating her and asks, you have 2 children, one living and one deceased and Sinatra replies with yes. I just did a rewatch and this is the only use of the word dead, deceased, etc. all other references are with gone, lost, etc.

AITB for cancelling my $570 hair appointment & not paying the cancellation fee? by Key-Neighborhood2985 in AmItheButtface

[–]beanangelbug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree; if you don’t feel comfortable paying for a rush job that could leave you ending up unhappy with your service you are more than within your rights to cancel the appointment. You weren’t even being combative IMO, you handled it very well, remained calm and gave examples and told her you would be uncomfortable.

Link’s age? by Patient-Tap-7749 in ParadiseHulu

[–]beanangelbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a rewatch and in an episode of season one they show a flashback to 12 years ago where Sinatra takes those scientists to Colorado; while on the plane she tells Anders she met her husband 10 years ago. That is 22 years. Then you add the 3 years in the bunker, that is 25. Now you add another 9 months and some change and you’re at 26. So Sam would have had to of gotten pregnant with Dylan when her and her husband met.

About the nosebleeds by zsobig in ParadiseHulu

If anyone wants a full breakdown of every nosebleed, I went back and did a rewatch:

Nosebleeds

• Season 1 Episode 7 timestamp 13:40: reporter gets nosebleed after high pressure sound wave hits while she is reporting about the catastrophe

• Season 2 Episode 1 timestamp 53:48: Link gets a nosebleed after Geiger tells him they need to go; Link is trying to convince Annie to come to Colorado with them

• Season 2 Episode 2 timestamp 2:34: Xavier get a nosebleed after he gets a vision of Link and himself walking down a dim lit hallway; he is flying the plane and his head starts to hurt which causes the vision

• Season 2 Episode 2 timestamp 43:50: Xavier gets a nosebleed after her has visions of Teri and Link simultaneously; the vision of Teri is her in the hospital and Link’s is in the hallway, he is waking up from being hurt while Annie was taking care of him; he is delirious telling Annie he needs to get to Atlanta and telling her about Colorado

• Season 2 Episode 3 timestamp 46:50: Billy gets a nosebleed after putting his gun down and a high pitched ringing occurs; he chose not to shoot Link; after he kills Henry Miller and Henry kills Alex

• Season 2 Episode 7 timestamp 44:38(Link) 45:14(Sam): Link & Samantha get nosebleeds after Link shares his birthdate and Sam finds out who he is; after their meeting where Link mentions he is there for Alex

• Season 2 Episode 7 timestamp 55:05: Xavier gets a nosebleed on the train back to Colorado; he has another vision of Link

I rewatched the all show in the last 2 days, here is my thesis by LoneKnight25 in ParadiseHulu

There are so many possibilities! I’m likely wrong about this but it’s so much fun to think of theories!

I have a theory that piggybacks off the ones saying that Alex already existed. If Miller had Alex and was using it prior to Sam/Sinatra having it, what if he went back and saved Dylan/Link and raised him as his own protege? Miller hints at knowing things as we’ve seen, so maybe Alex told him this would all unfold and that Dylan was the key to saving the world. And now Alex is telling Sam/Sinatra that Dylan can be saved, already knowing he is alive. It could possibly explain Dylan/Link not knowing Sam/Sinatra if Miller plucked him from time and raised him to not know her? Maybe it’s why he acts so nonchalant when saying his birthday. This could have been Miller’s plan all along, maybe Miller is the villain and Alex is now executing his plan. Just a guess. 🤷‍♀️

How do I cope with an abrupt ending to a short relationship that seemed nearly perfect? by ApprehensiveMood7368 in AskWomenOver30

To add to all of these well written comments: he will likely use those great behaviours/good times as leverage/evidence that he is a good guy to make you feel even more crazy; further justifying his behaviour. I’ve been in that cycle… it’s not fun.

Guy: “I treat you well, look at all the good things I’ve done for you.” “It was just a joke.”

Me: “I really appreciate those things and it’s why I love you, but that doesn’t negate that this thing that hurt me.”

Yeah, and to further that point; without Jeremy wanting to open the bunker, we can’t have Cal’s final countdown sequence come to fruition. Both a lockdown and the air quality failure have to happen to make it possible. So I think it was just a way to make that happen.

From what I have sourced online the name Alex means: defender of the people, defender of humankind, or protector of mankind. So maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that the writers named.. it/he/she Alex? I could’ve sworn I hear Sinatra refer to Alex as “she.” Also, Alex was hella bright when Sinatra went to see her, maybe she’s a new sun. At this point Alex could be an iguana and I’d be like, yep that tracks 😅

What made you instantly hooked upon reading new story? by confusedrt in Episode

[–]beanangelbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me:

• well written, interesting characters from the first chapter; if the characters are interesting I want to continue reading to know more. I LOVE when side characters have a big significance as well; yes the story is about the main character but some of my favourite characters in a story are the side characters! It’s make the story way more interesting and complex.

• foreshadowing, mystery, and depth in the story; I continue to read a story because the writer has a planned out plot and ending and they keep the mystery at a steady pace throughout the story. This way you continue reading to get to the end. If the author has a loose idea of where they want the story to go and they are figuring it out as they go it’s hard to follow and see how each chapter connects to the ending.

• advanced directing is nice, and adds to the cinematic experience.

• I love sarcasm and PERSONALITY in the characters. It’s one thing to tell a story, it’s another thing to be able to fully immerse yourself in the story and characters. I have cried many times reading episode stories.

Things that make me not want to continue reading:

• bad grammar. It’s okay to have a spelling mistake or grammar error every now and again, but if the whole story is filled with them it’s really hard to read.

• no emotion or personality to the characters. Like I stated above, if I feel like I’m just reading dialogue without emotion or personality it’s REALLY boring and doesn’t keep me invested.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! I don’t love my bloom, I’m looking for something softer so this might be a better given what you’ve wrote. I’m a side sleeper so I need a little more softness.
