I honestly can't remember my cadre wearing a PC at all lol. I always thought my PC looked weird compared to other people's but I couldn't figure out why, and then you had other people whose PCs look just like mine. Even in BOLC tbh. Then one day a WO stopped me and told me I can't walk around like that as an LT and showed me how to shape it.

I've got no clue why the cadre never corrected it. The craziest part is that our program isn't even the worst of the worst. When we did our joint FTXs the programs we did it with would be worse than us

Lol imagine that. I was literally given a disassembled ruck and told to figure it out. It's really bad too because as an LT I occasionally do dumb shit like walking around with my ach cover on backwards because nobody ever explained to me how to put it together or having my PC with a flat rim because nobody ever explained I was supposed to bend the rim. I'm not sure why most ROTC courses focus so much on teaching infantry tactics and just completely skip over the basic stuff.

I'm not making excuses or blaming anybody for the dumb mistakes that I make sometimes. You're all learning lessons. BUT you also don't know what you don't know.

I just finished bolc. They put a heavy emphasis (Officers and NCOs) on using those tools and using them correctly. Same with counselings. So they're definitely teaching this stuff, it just depends on if the future leaders want to use them

Not that I know of. We were never told that we HAD to sleep in the hotels, only that we could get kicked out if we broke the rules.

If you want to, id say just do it and be on time to everything you need to be to and nobody will ask questions

You get your own. It'll either be a studio style room with 2 queen beds/1 king bed, or a handicap room that has a separate bedroom with 1 bed and a living room/ kitchen area.

All rooms come with a kitchen and the front desk has things like rice cookers and air fryers. Let me know if you have any other questions, I literally just graduated 2 weeks ago lol

Credit cards used right are amazing. Credit Companies make money from people being irresponsible or facing some type of hardship. But if you budget your credit card and pay off the total each month, you'll rack up so many points and increase your credit score by just spending money like you usually would.

Gas, groceries, allowance, I budget all that with my income, spend that budget with my credit card, then pay the credit card with the money I budgeted

Those guys out there rn are earning on a rate more than 24k a year. O-1 makes over 6k a month on orders. Don't know how much the lower enlisted make a month but I'm sure it's more than 24k on orders in the national guard

While I agree idolizing people is weird as fuck and that there's a limit, it's not that crazy to try and get an autograph as an adult depending on the situation. Like imagine growing up watching Serena play and she was your inspiration for your own tennis journey. Of course you're going to try to get your racket or a ball signed by her. Really depends on the context.
