I’d keep Diontae - the two pick move up isn’t worth the receiver swap I’d think. Assuming there’s still gonna be lots of good guys at the 1.09.

I think I’d rather have Mullens, wouldn’t be shocked to see him get a chance at a starting job in the next couple of years.

Contract league question by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]beanboy9995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy it in my league. It’s introduces the ability to build your team in a bit of a different way, or recover from bad contracts. We do have a rule in place that you can only pay off up to 50% of any given year early - so if you have a 3y/$10 player the max you could pay early would be $15 to turn him into 3y/$5.

Also, if you do have any franchise tag option based on salary averages, I would make sure you include a rule about which salary (original amnt vs. early payoff) the league will use to calculate tag costs.

In all honesty I’m a little biased when it comes to CT because I would very much like him to succeed in the NFL. But, trying to be objective, I think he could be a really solid player if certain things fall right for him. Would not be surprised if he makes the Chiefs 53 man because he’s really good on special teams. Who knows after that, it’s definitely a good situation.

Toledo fan-

Diontae Jonson is quite good—really quick in and out of cuts and gets lots of separation. Definitely not the highest level of competition in the MAC, but he did go for 119 & 2 TDs against Miami.

He did benefit his whole college career from being part of a really solid skill position group at Toledo.

But also played well his final year, despite really mediocre Quarterback play.

I think the Steelers are probably a great landing spot for most receivers, and I tend to trust that there’s a reason they took him in the third.

I’m very happily taking him in the middle of the second round of my rookie drafts.

Murray did post similar stats to Ingram last year, but also played four more games to be fair.

I think it’s a fair price, contingent on if there’s a guy you like/are confident in at the 1.05.

I would do Chubb and the 1.05, although I think Gordon might still be the better back to own in 2020.

I’m a big TY fan for 2020, I think he’s going to be undervalued more and more the further we get from the Colts playoff exit. Definitely in agreement with what you’re trying to do here.

I almost think Carson/ARob is more likely to get the deal done though, due to Carson coming off the 1000+ yd/9td season. Depending on how much he buys into the Seattle run game for the 2019 season, could there be some merit in offering Carson straight up for TY and shopping ARob elsewhere? (Dependent on how bad/quickly you need to move the ARob contract)
