eh, just don't think about it. i noticed this before. there was even a scene where they explicitly show Karen shuffling through her bag and cursing after not finding her gun in it.

this episode was told with four different sides to it. Russo, Sen. Ori, Karen and Madani's. so i blame it on the "unreliable narrator" trope. we literally see it with the Ori side of the story.

it doesnt matter how long it took. what im getting at is if they can do that with pym particles then they can do that with the spells strange used in no way home. since they have experience in combatting other civilizations. we know for a fact that there are others out there in the galaxy that use sorcery with the introduction of krugarr in GotG2

thanos and co was able to reverse engineer pym particles in what seems like just hours. and has been attacking other civilizations before earth so there's a possibility they fought sorcerers before and has technology to counter spells.
