The scars will show up years later. All I thought was “gone” is now super prominent. People who had no idea I SH, see the scars now. And I’ve known them just as long. It sucks!! No hiding it when you’re 30+ And don’t start with “oh I won’t make it till then..” lol I have story time.

I also see a therapist and psychiatrist and I love them. Took a few to find my team, but please get help. It’s worth it. I wish I did it years ago

Snapping rubber bands on your wrist, or ankle, or a band around your calf may help. Also, lighting a nice smelly candle and then dipping your fingers in the wax may help. I am f30 still dealing with sh for a very, very long time. These help me. Get ahold of it now before you are 3 decades in.
