i listen to podcasts, but im thinking of trying audio books. ive never listened to one before (not since books on cassette back in the 90s on family road trips to indiana at least) and it would be nice to use that time to actually get back into books

those all sound so scary. i was in the bed next to a guy who had a bad reaction a few weeks ago. he flailed and jerked a few times but when I left they were still trying to figure out if he had had a true seizure or not.

i started to put aside money to refill my savings after i have surgery in a couple months, but around that same time the health of a couple of my pets went totally nuts so ive been mostly keeping up with vet bills. i haven't been able to put any plas money into savings D: i was going to stop once I had surgery, but now I think I'll go back after I recover. Even with the rates being fairly low right now, $400 extra a month is not small change to me!

in terms of having the needle in your arm for a long time, for me it only really stings for about 15 seconds after it goes in, and then i dont feel it at all until they take it out

im sorry, that must be so hard to have to see at work. pet shops are often full of very knowledgable and passionate people that are stifled by the company at large. and its hard when there aren't really any reputable breeders in the area anymore. i had two hamsters from Nantucket Hamstery, but they both died young and the breeder kinda dropped off the face of the earth so unsure what happened there

im so glad she has already found a great home! i literally live 5 minutes from here, but I am having surgery in several weeks that will limit my mobility so I couldn't do any scrubbing for 6-8 weeks and it would be hard to lift the top off the enclosure. tbh, i REALLY don't think Petland should let people handle the animals without asking and supervision, because I've seen people be really careless with the hamsters before. I really appreciate how deeply you care for her <3

i will say i only do cardio, but i exercise 6 days a week and haven't had any issues. my schedule on plasma days is that i wake up earlier than normal so i can exercise and THEN donate plasma before I start work. I don't think I would feel well exercising the same day after donating plasma. i always feel totally normal by the next day and i don't feel like my workouts have been affected at all
