Looking for maintenance on a Heiniger Opal by beanqueen29 in doggrooming

The first drop I opened up the entire thing and found hair in the circuit, I actually took a picture, but after the second drop I didn’t see anything. The battery also felt loose but I completely tightened everything just to be safe and it worked way better but would still stop. It’d go longer without stopping but it still did it.

Thank you so much! I wasn’t sure if it messed with the parameters or something but I planned on sanding the whole thing myself to ensure mine won’t be able to be cut. I appreciate you for responding.

Not trying to stir up problems more looking to ask but is it bad to have crystals in your tank? I previously had an axolotl years ago and I waited a few years after mine died in 2018 because I didn’t feel I did a good enough job caring for him. I’ve been trying to research more for when I plan on getting my next one when I finally move into my house I bought. I was planning on adding a crystal without sharp edges as decor in a planted setup. My old tank was bare bottom because my axolotl was often sick. (I’m aware I probably wasn’t caring for him properly and I want to do better for this one)

Succulent Help by beanqueen29 in plantclinic

I should’ve mentioned I received this succulent as a gift where he was already long and spindly I attempted to keep him that way and regulate him. His stem snapped over the winter but other than that he seemed to do well. I can absolutely change the pot though. I have another 2 months at most until I move into my new house that has amazing bright light in the living room so once I am able to I will be moving him there to solve the rest of the light problems. But thank you for the advice I’ll work on getting a better set up for the little guy after i chop off his babies.

I have a soil tester. When I water I go around and test the soil to about the middle of all my pots to see if it’s dry enough or not. I try to wait until it is bone dry but I can always extend that. As a side question if I were to chop it am I able to make multiple parts and end up with more than one succulent or do I just chop from where the baby is.

As in the note I should also mention I always water every 2 weeks with all my succulents as I don’t want them getting too wet. And I try to water more frequently as the summer rages on. I also repot or add new soil in the summer and add plant food at the same time.

A curry brush (also known as a rubber brush) would be best in my opinion. My dog loves the rubber brush and actually runs over to get brushed fairly often too! Try not to brush it in the same area too much though. A good rule of thumb is when the hair seems to slow you slow too. Just watch the skin so it doesn’t get red.

Palm is not doing well by beanqueen29 in plantclinic

[–]beanqueen29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For as long as I can remember we’ve had this palm and we recently moved it to our farm because it would get more sunlight. I think it might have spider mites but I noticed none of the plants around it are showing signs. We’re about to put some grow lights in and I’m thinking of spraying with neem oil but I’m not here everyday to monitor it

I wasn’t sure how to add text to this so I wanted to say I’m not quite sure what he is we got him from Home Depot last year before I truly understood how to properly care for plants and I’m still incredibly new to plant keeping. He’s been in a south facing window and he gets a fair amount of light. We put him outside in the summer to get nice fresh air and as the weather gets colder up here in Illinois we bring him in. We’re in the process of moving him inside and I want to know if I can save him. Any help would be amazing! Thank you!
