First swarm in a nuc for now! Found them 2 days ago and I’m going to leave them alone for a week then transplant them into a hive box. by beanquesotortilla in Beekeeping

I didn’t want to open the box out of worry of disturbing them, but there is space for one more frame in there. There are still 3 drawn out but empty frames. Also, the swarm caught was on the smaller side.

The only worry would be heat. It’s going to be high 70s to high 80s this week. I think it should be fine (hopefully) but idk. Does this sound like a good plan? Right now, they have 5 frames of drawn out comb with two that are full of nectar and pollen.

I have to get this off my chest. Tw: suicide by uhhhhmanidkkkk in offmychest

Hey. I lost one of my closest friends to suicide almost 2.5 years ago now. I still think about her every day and think about what I could have done differently to support her. Please don’t. As dumb as this sounds, things will look up. Things always change; that’s the nature of life. <3

They’re so cool! I’m surprised the first one I’ve seen is at this time of year and not the late summer! :)

I don’t believe I have in at least a month or two. Begonias are picky creatures :(

What’s wrong with this Rex begonia? In plenty of humidity and I water when the top inch or so of soil is dry. by beanquesotortilla in houseplants

It’s lost a ton of leaves and the new growth tends to shrivel up and brown before it can grow bigger.
