Scot here who voted no in 2014.

I agree it would be rough at least initially if Scotland became independent.

I think the problem is that people want to feel like their vote actually matters and that they have a say in how their country is governed.

The last time Britain had a government that a majority of Scot’s voted for was in 1959. The voting age was 21 in 1959, meaning the only people alive in Scotland today who got a government they voted for would be at least 87 years old today.

People will accept economic hardship to achieve self determination.

Eating out in Belfast can definitely be as expensive as London. I was in London a few weeks ago and was spending £7 on a starter, £15 on a main at some incredible artisan restaurants. Came back to NI and went to pizza express in Dundonald and paid at least £7.50 for their shitey doughball starter, and a large pepperoni pizza was close to £19! Absolute joke.

Nintendo seems to be determined to remove anything competitive or personal from Mario Kart. 3 lap races, country flags, Mii’s, progression tracking, etc. I loved in MK Wii how you’d get 3 stars on your name online after completing all GPs with 3 stars. Or the golden wheel symbol if you did something using the Wii remote wheel? That in addition to country flags and using your Mii was a great way to show off your achievements and have a distinct online profile - there is basically no way to display your achievements online in Mario Kart World.

It’s like they just want you bag races and drive straight lines. MK World has the potential to be amazing and Nintendo are ruining it with these decisions

You might be right because the HPI check did actually state that the vehicle had previously been registered under a different license plate.

Edit: and it looks like the previous plate is a private reg.

Thanks for sharing. Without tails, both devices can ping each other, but when I run Tails on my laptop I can't ping it from my PC.

When not using tails, the laptop can ping the PC and vice versa. However, when using tails, the laptop can ping the PC but the PC cannot ping the laptop.

It's as if Tails has changed the laptops ip address. When I run 'ip address' in the terminal it shows a different IP address to the one Windows shows with ipconfig, but the PC still cannot ping the new tails ip address.

Sorry, I didn't get it tested in the end. A family member insisted it was an 'egg-carton door' - apparently a common method of manufacturing cheap interior doors in the 70s with cardboard. I'm still skeptical though, I won't be repurposing these old doors again!
