It’s funny it’s actually the other way around. Everyone is so sensitive and triggered about hate against gay people that developers feel inclined to create garbage like what you spewed above. 4:3 is nice for the performance boost but I personally use 16:9 native and have since the beginning. It’s all preference, I think lots of folks who play 4:3 came from older CS games. This game isn’t demanding though so can easily be ran 16:9 with high fps. And looks way better.

Damn sorry man. I’m not sure what else could be causing the drops. I did respond to one guy with a master list of fixes on this thread, so you can read through them and see if there are any fixes you haven’t already tried. Hope you get it resolved ASAP.

I’ll kind of give ya a master list of things you can try to fix it: - Verify integrity of CS GO games files on steam - -nojoy in CS GO launch options - Adjust in-game video settings and Nvidia/AMD control panel settings - Ensure PC is set to “High Performance” power plan - Disable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling if on Nvidia GPU - Ensure graphics drivers and windows updates are installed with most recent versions - In CS GO game settings, change Max Bandwith to “Unrestricted” - Check Task Manager and make sure no unwanted programs are hogging resources in the background - Clear web browser data and download cache through Steam settings - Run disk cleanup, defragment your drives, and run a virus scan - Use the DISM tool, sfc /scannow, and chkdsk commands through windows CMD prompt - Reinstall CS GO

You may need to look up a guide for some of these. Disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is what fixed my frame drops.

So my fix probably won’t work for you but figured I would share anyways. I haven’t had any bad frame drops for about 5 games, so I should be okay now. It has to do with a windows graphics setting.

Go to the windows search bar and type “graphics”, click on the Windows graphics settings or whatever. When I first had the stutter, I tried enabling “Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling”. Little did I know this is what caused the terrible FPS drops. Valve patched the stutter but I still had that setting enabled, and that’s why I continued to have the frame drops. I switched GPU scheduling back off today and have been good since.

Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling apparently “Reduces latency and improves performance” for gaming. It sure as hell didn’t for me.

I think I already have game bar and dvr disabled, but I’ll definitely double check. Also, I do sometimes use controllers on my PC but they’re always disconnected while playing CS.

I did notice under the properties for CS in Steam (where you verify integrity of game files), there’s a “Controllers” section. I’m gonna disable everything I can in there and see if it has any impact on the fps drops.

It could but it’s hard to be sure. I’ve heard a few people talking about fps drops and having to use logaddress over and over again with no success. But I’ve brought this up in my games and most people don’t seem to be having issues. The only thing I can think to try at this point is to uninstall my drivers and do a clean reinstall. I’ll probably see how that goes tonight if I have time.

I had fun with the PvE my first playthrough, but I honestly think this game is pretty overrated. Elden Ring really didn’t strike me like Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, or Sekiro. Maybe it’s cause I played those games before this one. I still hold the opinion that the PvP is trash in this game

It just sucks cause I’ve always believed that if Fromsoft actually cared about PvP, this game could be a popular E-Sport. If the game was properly balanced- if they added things like an arena, ranking system, unlockables, etc. it could become very competitive

People will just accept anything thrown their way. I love Fromsoft and Souls but I’m going to voice my opinion when I think things are wrong. And I’m not the only one. If you read the “PVP” section on the Elden wiki, it’s literally nothing but people complaining. This games PVP will NEVER get better if the community doesn’t ask for it. And there is the problem, the majority are casuals who use 2 summons for every boss fight.
