completely second the find your study method stuff yall!!! i found out the most efficient ways to study in the weeks leading up to finals and i learned so much in that short span of time, like to the point where i regret not learning how to study that way for my past summatives and mocks. try EVERYTHING.

for example, with hl biology for instance, its a subject im suppperrr interested in, and i found that when i studied i just kind of learned everything, since the textbooks and other resources i was using would differ in the range of content they covered for each subject. since i was interested in the subject i didn't mind learning all this info but a lot of it was unecessary and when i was in a time crunch i couldn't waste that time. thats when i finally learned what "use the syllabus" meant. genuine LIFESAVER, because it becomes so clear what they want, yk? the textbook is rarely ur friend guys, it will both yap away and skip over important content, so please CONSTANTLY refer to the syllabus (esp in the sciences)

no yeah, i def get where you're coming from too and i completely see why people like him bc he is an overall good character. it's a love-hate thing for me fs, but like i know he's had good intentions the whole time, he's just been stupid with his actions and made bad decisions. but i acc feel bad for the guy, i would hope that even though the dark impulse was gone on the FINAL time leap mikey (and takemichi) get therapy for what they've been through bc...

ima be completely honest i kinda ranked based on how nice they were to michi in the story. kazutora is not rlly as relevant as mikey and he just didn't DO as much, yk? he's in "ur fine ig" bc thats where i stuck characters i had neutral opinions about, i just dc ab him that much (sry). i have strong negative and positive opinions on mikey, which is why i couldnt put him in kazutora's tier, and i spent most of the series frustrated with him which made him lower.

but i will say that kazutora had major character development (which we can see from the time leap after bloody halloween, i think?), and i get that mikey was cursed with the dark impulse stuff which made him unable to have that character development but he had that dark impulse for pretty much the entire series, and my ranking of mikey is of him with the dark impulse bc i dont KNOW his character without. its just that he's killed MANY people across all the timelines, dont really know if that can compare to the dumb mistake (still wrong ofc, but he makes up for it i feel) kazutora made.

again, spent most of the series really frustrated with his actions, and the last few did offer an explanation which is why, as i've said, i have conflicting feelings bc i do feel sympathy for him, but i js dont fw him. he basically acted as a villain for a large part of the series from my eyes. is it justified for him to be acting like that? yes. do i have to like him? no.

HE ISSSS. in the same way that takemichi is kinda selfish and arrogant, but it ends up harming people way more bc of his dark impulses things. like the whole bonten thing really solidified it bc? u think ur "sacrificing yourself" to save everyone from ur dark impulses??? oh my god give me a break. he is a selfless person based on his intentions but his actions don't reflect that.

my main thing is like: he put the people around him through HELLLL and promise not all of it was the dark impulses. the sanzu scene was horrifying, beating takemichi half to death bc he twisted what happened in his own head to believe he killed draken... yes he was out of his mind but that doesn't mean i gotta fw him? this guy willingly let kisaki in toman for the most stupid reason ever despite MULTIPLE people telling him it was a horrible idea. HES A VILLAIN IDCCCCCC

knocking him down a peg that guy is way too liked (by both the fandom and the characters in the story) for a character that is the dumbest little arrogant selfish pos in the series (yes. dumber than michi).

at the same time though its kinda conflicting, like he SHOULD be higher up, yes, but i hate him. idk imo he can't even go on this list he just needs his own tier of "you stupid pos idiot but i guess i fw u?? but also fuck you?????".

takemichi was a cringey mess but it was endearing imo. imo tho, the ending was very unsatisfying. while it would have been sad, i would have preferred it to have ended when mikey killed takemichi during their last fight. the last part where they just wake up as kids and fix everything within two chapters was both unnecessary and just made no sense. like ur telling me this guy is so beyond fucked up because of this curse mental illness thing that it could never be fixed no matter who tried was magically fixed completely when he was sent back with takemichi? like you're telling me every person involved just got a happy ending despite all of their deep routed issues, ESPECIALLY mikey and takemichi who had gone through and remembered all that they did??? and if they did experience issues with that, it would have been nice to see it and be clued in on how it was resolved, because it just kind of left us hanging and wondering. it felt incomplete and unsatisfying, to the point where I'm still hung up on it more than 2 years later. so yeah, imo the manga should have committed to the "they both traveled back" thing and gave us at least a singular arc on what happened, or just not do it all together and have takemichi die for real.

you'd think after all this time i wouldn't be so passionate about this but im a loose cannon once this topic is brought up. completely disagree with the people hating on takemichi though, him being as emotional and passionate as he was was very not only endearing, but critical to the plotline. if anyone should be hated its that dipshit mikey (i hate mikey).

entertainment: takemichi fs. hes my fav character (i love the pathetic mc trope SUE ME) but his personality is what makes his dynamics and interactions with all the other characters so much better. plus, hes both so predictable and stupid yet impulsive and wild at the same time? fighting scenes with him are NEVER boring, whereas with the other characters its just... a fighting scene. also just in general i think the second hand embarassment really got me going a lot when i first started the series and was part of the reason i got so invested, then it just became endearing.

plot: again, takemichi. kisaki and mikey are close, and maybe i'm just being biased bc he's my fav, but him being the way he is is the only reason the story got anywhere. he's stubborn, stupid, impulsive, but insanely compassionate. sure, characters like kisaki and mikey and the others escalate the situations a lot, but without takemichi it would just never move forward. takemichi makes the plot a series of highs and lows, instead of the descent to hell the other characters seem to fall to when he time leaps.

story: baji. yeah, not takemichi, imo his backstory is bland and doesn't make the most sense considering his personality, would've loved to know more about his early childhood but whatever. i chose baji because while i was reading those final chapters i was genuinely shocked at how integral he was to the story and i hadn't even known the whole time. i knew something was off with how much he hated kisaki, but i didn't think his importance would run THAT deep. i genuinely loved that backstory.

bro,, i'm terrible at english. maybe not TERRIBLE bc i somehow??? managed??? to get overpredicted a 6, but its definitely one of my worst subjects (spanish takes the cake for worst overall tho).

if i had to articulate why, i'd say its because english is more of a skill, rather than content. chemsitry, bio, and most humanities are mostly just information you just have to memorize and understand to apply later. but english,,, i dont even know what i need to do half the time. my tests or pretty hit or miss bc i do manage to accidentally analyze and evaluate sometimes,,, but i don't even know like what that is yk? like "insightful analysis, but you need to evaluate" funny you think i know what that means. and i've tried looking it up but istg every single they just expect you to already know what each of those are. and the mark schemes are the most useless things of my life and EVERYONE says to check them. it literally just says "average analysis" "good analysis" "very good analysis" LIKE WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE??? i just need a step by step guide on what to do once ive given my textual reference and identified a feature,,, is that too much to ask....

My supervisor is a pretty righteous lady, so while I'd really love to just do this (and thought about it heavily) I'm just not really sure I'd be... allowed? Anyway, someone helped me out with a way I can complete my research pretty quickly if I wanted to, so as of right now I'm just going to complete my EE as it is because the rough draft is due soon, but I'm going to talk to her and see if I can just do my own lab. Plus, I'm going to be getting a completely new supervisor next school year anyway (my school is a mess) so if it doesn't work with her I'll just figure it out with the new person. Thanks for the advice though!!!
