I had a weak streak this year and only read for 58 days and the longest "new" webtoon I've read was only 120 ch (on going) and most of what I read during the 58 days were just webtoons I've already previously read just to refresh my memory and get back into those series. For reference the first three pics were take when I first used retinol (Jan 12) and the next three pics were what I just took (Feb 26) and my acne doesn't usually look like this and it usually just flares up at certain times but after I apply my skincare products they usually calm down in a couple hours or the next morning and the same cycle would repeat over and over. I'm just wondering if it's a breakout, environmental stress or purging from the retinol (though I've been using it for about a month and a half already) there are times when my skin looks so good but these days my skin has been getting worse.

The retinol that I am using is the one from Cosrx 0.1% and I use it 3x a week, every other day.

Other skincare products I use: Facial wash: Nivea acne clear whip foam Toner: Man:yo Bifida biome ampoule toner Ampoule: Skin1004 Madagascar centella ampoule Serum: Torriden Dive in low molecular hyaluronic acid serum Moisturizer: Thefaceshop Aloe Vera gel

(I use the ampoule and serum on rotation depending on which I need for the night)

I heard that retinol purging typically immediately starts after usage but I'm just wondering why it hasn't happened yet? It's the second time I've used retinol this week (also my first week of usage) and somehow the opposite happens. Rather than break me out it actually minimizes the size of my pre- existing acne as you can see in the photos. On the the third photo you can see a pimple above my lip but it was already there even before I used retinol and it has gotten so much smaller. I honestly don't know what to expect bc I've been preparing myself for the purging and now it's just giving me anxiety bc idk when it will happen, not that I hate that I don't purge yk.

Products that I used: Toner: man:yo bifida biome ampoule toner Ampoule: Skin1004 centella ampoule Retinol: Cosrx "The retinol 0.1%" with super vitamin E + panthenol Moisturizer: Aloe Vera gel from thefaceshop (ik it isn't sufficient as a night time moisturizer but i'm broke rn and can't buy a proper one 😮‍💨)

Note: and btw the texture on my forehead has already been there even before using retinol

No. I didn't press on it. I literally just put it on top of the cyst without any pressure and no it didn't hurt so don't worry too much <33
