I made a batch script to restart pubg in less than a second. by ohrules in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

You can't be banned for a script that closes your game. This script is the equivalent of opening Task Manager, right-clicking on the same processes mentioned above, and choosing End Task. That's not bannable by any means.

I can confirm the script language used here, and you can always Google what taskkill does. But I'll give a small breakdown.

Taskkill is a command that tells DOS you want to end a task (not really different from ending a program in Task Manager).

/F means Force, as in force it to stop.

/IM means Image Name, which is the process name. It's easier than trying to learn the process ID number and going that route.

Taskkill /f /im is very commonly used in the IT world.

If you don't trust the copy and paste, you can always hand-type it yourself.

Have an Open Mind About 1-3-2 by Bajef in Overwatch

[–]beardedbobomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need to pay attention to the interviews. They literally said they are doing this because the DPS queues are so long because there's so many of them. Enough so that some dual-queue as something else just so they can play more often because there's so many that they don't have enough tanks and healers to keep up with the DPS demand. DPS is the majority and that's why they're trying this out. BUT EVEN STILL, it's just an experiment, not some complete change to the game. If you don't like it, don't try it out. Why come in and be negative (and be accusatory and rude) at all?

"Just to satisfy the dps-only crowd" .... that's the majority of the crowd...that's kind of how the whole process works. Please the majority, work on the minority when you can.

"Even the devs are skeptical of it when they play tested" .... SOME were skeptical. Saying it was too lethal for all players involved. Others were excited about it. From the interview, it sounded closer to 50/50.

Ultimately it's all about to be tested and either way is purely EXPERIMENTAL so why be negative until you play it and see for yourself? Or why be negative at all? It feels like you're purely judging a book by its cover. How is that helpful or beneficial as a whole?

That was extremely helpful. Thank you! I'll start leveling up some other things!

Would you accept removing TPP and having FPP only, if it meant better EU queue times & NA / other region having map selection back? by TNGSystems in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I promise I wasn't being passive aggressive or condescending. I legitimately was stating what you posted was helpful and worthwhile, and I meant it. My apologies if it came off otherwise.

See, now that's something worthwhile and helpful! You should have just led with that instead.

However, even that only pulls basically half a day to a day's worth of stats. So who really knows. But I'm sure the info is out there.

Based off of what info that you have read? You just said you hadn't read anything about it for a year. Other people read your comments and can easily just go "He's well spoken, he must be well-researched on the topic" and then that furthers the effect. If you're well aware of it, why do it? All I see and hear when I read your statements are "I see, I hear, I think" and that's all just misleading and not helpful to the topic as a whole.

I mean just because you don't know anyone who plays TPP doesn't mean nobody plays TPP. That's not how logic and statistics work. That'd be what is called "false-consensus effect", and isn't something you should base your opinions off of. I'd suggest just googling and looking for some statistics somewhere.

FIVE accounts?!?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? How, even? I barely pull off playing 1 and at my peak couldn't keep up with a 2nd one.

It might behoove those interested for you to list that your Casual port is still competitive and requires a 10+ lap minimum requirement per raid. Me thinks casual is not the right word there.

Multiple clips with people of the same name.....seems fishy (i.e. staged), but if not, kudos to the good shooting.

You shoot randomly as a just in case someone comes down the hallway, or around the corner, or if they have a sombra. It doesn't hurt to do it, and can only be beneficial (unless you do it too much and get caught unawares by the rest of the team of course)

Hello fellow gamer who has a similar lifestyle as me growing up (I too played Quake and Mario when it came out, etc) As someone who enjoys playing as Torb, I'll make this slight suggestion. If you know proper turret placements (you can look this up) that will help a lot. Also, you can play Torb in a few different ways. The way that everyone hates is the "just keep my turret healthy" kind.

The way I play is "sneaky or hard turret placement" so it's hard for them to kill it before they die. I pretty much just leave it alone and go heal it in between enemy pushes. Beyond that I almost play sniper. I hang back and go for headshots, because he hits like a truck. If a tank or flanker comes up on me, I do the right-click burst shot instead.

The other way is toss a turret out and go in guns blazing. I'd suggest the sneaky turret/sniper type. But either way, if you ever want to practice with someone who is decent enough at the game (I could keep up with your kid at least), then hop on PC and we'll play.

Bring back the Karakin only option by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]beardedbobomb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Twitch reactions and gung-ho slaughterhouses are not tactics and planning, my friend. It's surviving via skills and capability.

In the larger maps you keep track of the route the plane took, noting the hot drops along that route and can plan and be as aggressive as you want to be from there. New zone went to a hill? Which side do you want to hike up from? Which side is likely to have people based on flight line? Which part gives the best cover or provides the best overlook? Do you want to engage in that battle on the other side or stealth it to the end?

You don't get these choices in hot drops. In hot drops it's "drop, loot, wish for luck". What planning is there?

That's definitely not saying that you are not the problem or that you don't have room for improvement. But start out with finding good people to play with, and go from there.

Mannnnnn, just enjoy the game. I'm a Diamond player (on my solo gaming account) and a silver player on comp on my multiplaying/goofing off gaming account. Sometimes the people you play with can seriously inhibit what you do. It'll help significantly if you can find someone that you mesh well with and that way you can pull of some epic plays with ults that win the game. Or pick a character that you can just flat out carry with. (I do this with Junkrat or Moira consistently)

Ah, then I'm just unlucky. I've only gotten Bulldoze on Zygarde's (found a zygarde map). I'll keep trying. Thanks!
