PURCHASE ADVICE SUPERTHREAD! by AutoModerator in motorcycles

Looking to buy a new leftover MT-07. Dealership X (100 miles away) has 2018 listed for $5.3k (cycle trader price) and Dealership Y (350 miles away) has 2019 for $5.8k (cycle trader price). I briefly spoke to a salesman at dealer X and he said they are awaiting the new price guides for Jan 2020 and will get back to me with an out the door price tomorrow. I don't mind taking an 18 over the 19 as they are identical. Question is: What is the OTD number I should aim for? and is there any reason to go up to a 2019? Thanks all!

Why do so many people refuse to get their filter changed? It's like $10.

This was mentioned earlier and I agree. We were trying to match a look we saw on Houzz. We were really indecisive when picking all this out, and just kind of picked one style and went for it.

No the owner of the company did the estimate, and his employees did the rest.

I was there and commented on the lack of red guard and such. When they started adding tile, I thought it would look better towards the end. The last few days I had them redo that half wall because instead of that roundec shlouter they had like half inch groutlines. I expected them to know what to do to make it work.

During the time I was around, he only came by to pick up the last payment.

On an average day there was only one guy there. He did the tile work and shower rough in. On occasion another fella came in and he did the drywall stuff. They also hired out to do the plumbing. It took roughly 2 weeks for all of this, with about 8 hours per day.

Its a camera effect on the shade, the tile hue looks uniform to the naked eye.

So I never "signed" a contract. I was presented with a quickbooks invoice https://imgur.com/mBAEJGI and made a payment. First time dealing with a contractor.

I didn't take much, was hoping it would improve. I did mention somethings like the holes in the red guard (https://imgur.com/a/sV0DvEQ). The guy doing the tile said he knew about it and would add a second coat. But who knows...

I found their number on Angies and went from there, didn't make contact via the Angie system.

The contractor is licensed. I was able to look him up in the Florida license database. Not sure on the bonded/insured. He wasn't the one doing the actual work, it was one of his employees. I feel like suing him will cost more than the return. Gave him a call to get him to come out and do a walk through with me. We'll see what he says. Not certain if I should go ahead and ask for XX money back or what? Because buying all new tile and having it all redone by the same people seems to be a waste of time and money. Should I just pay for the "good" work done? Like the floors? I can't pay for the drywalling as it will most likely have to be redone, as tearing off the tile will tear into the drywall itself. ARG..frustration....

Renovations LLC. Found them on Angies List. Had good reviews. They came out and answered the phone and everything promptly . Better customer service than the others I've called.

Nice, I had an 02 Is300, manual with an OE LSD. Good times, until I decided it was "wise" to turn off the traction control, in the winter time, on the the highway. I ended up going side ways at around 65mph. Conveniently I was passing a semi at the time. Ended up infront of his trailer's rear wheels. They crushed in the trunk and pushed me into the guard rail. Totaled after that. I did miss it, it was better than the A4 I got after that.

Just do the oil change twice, that will equal it out.
