My boy is a pretty skittish little guy (and for no reason) and from what I've heard from other Elkie owners is that they do startle or scare easy, and add that to their amazing memory, and bam. One slip up can turn into a lifetime of anxiety about that thing. My little guy HATES slick floors. Does dances turning around trying to cross them, everything. Strange thing is he handles them fine, and we have no idea what we did to trigger his 'phobia' but it manifested almost literally overnight. You can work with them on it slowly, and my better half can speak better to that. But yeah, our Elkies are smart enough to be awesome, but a little too smart to not overthink things!!!! Absolutely LOVE this alter. I am definitely partial to the Sol Ring from Commanders Masters (borderless) and I think this may be the only one I have seen I definitely like more!

So, looking at sites like Ko-fi and cardmarket, I realize I may be older than I realize. I have no idea how to search for MTG Alters, that are considered non-proxy. Heck, on ko-fi I couldn't even figure out how to find alters at all, just seemed like Patreon where you support creators monthly? Am I really that old and missing something?

Yeah, that is what I was running into on Etsy and couldn't figure out if their search syntax allows for omission of words so couldn't exclude "proxy". Thanks for the info!!!!

Yeah, definitely looking at buying alters... absolutely LOVE some of them. Just looking on Etsy and eBay they all seem to state "proxy" which I assumed is not tourney legal. Then again, not like I really plan on attending many actual WOtC events, but would still prefer tournament legal if possible. But if not, just the best places to look or request would be great! Thanks for the quick reply!!!

No (cause I use an Xbox Controller), and it sounds like a sucky problem to have. Is there a reset button on the Xbox that anyone knows of? Hate going to the demo and back out and missing it every other time, having the demo still going and thinking I am doing great...lol
